I'm trying to find a Japanese/English KJV Bible.  My aunt's family has an exchange student staying with them, and they want to send her home with one.  Is there such a thing as side-by-side English/ Japanese translation?  If not, the Japanese equivalent of the KJV would work.  Any ideas where to look?

You could ask Bearing Precious Seed.  They might be able to help.

I did not see this before.  I live here in Japan and there is a Japanese/English Bible.  We carry them in our book store at church.  The preacher says that they are not KJV but as close as you can get.  He is a stickler for KJV.  So, we buy them here and keep them on the shelves for the Japanese members.  They cost $46.  Please let me know if you would like me to get one or ask where they get them from. Mona, I'd like to know where I can find it.  My Japanese Bible is 1955 "kougo" version,  and it would be great if I could have something colser to KJV.

Morningglory, how about "Good and Evil" from NGJ?  I know many Japanese are comic lovers,  just a suggestion. Smiley

I will ask the preachers wife where she gets them.  I know it is locally, though.  Get back to you an that....

I have also had the same idea about the Good and Evil books!  Wherever we go there are comic book/coffee shops and there are comics provides at most restaurants for your enjoyment while you wait on your food or after you are done.  I have often thought that they would do so well here!  I have looked on the NGJ site for Japanese copies but I did not see them yet. I know you may not want to do this, but you could possibly print your own Japanese Bible out from online. Here is one site I found.
http://www.biblica.com/bibles/japanese/

Amazon sells a New Testament here:  http://www.amazon.com/Japanese-English-New-Testament-NJB-NKJV/dp/4264402158

And Christian Book Distributors has this:

Also, there is a church called Mount Pisgah  in TN. They have a Scriptural printing ministry. I don't think they do Japanese, but they may know someone that would have it.

Hope it helps.
