I'm sitting on the floor with my hands on my head
my mind is in agony, I'd rather be dead
the drugs are all gone another day lays waste
but I'd sell my soul for one more taste
not very much longer the sun is gonna rise
and my two little ones will open there eyes
they didn't ask for this life the darkness sets in
mommy and daddy will be at it again
bound by addictions,my souls in despair
the shame and the guilt I can no longer bare
I cry out to God my tears fall to the ground
there's a war going on,but I can't hear the sounds
my mom kneels on the floor with her head in her hands
rebuking the enemy, in the gap she stands
God lifts me up and calls me by name
I didn't know then that I'd never be the same
He takes me thru a valley and sets me on a hill
He said, "more trials will come but my child be still"
the drugs are all gone
deliverance
is mine
tommorow will come and the sun is gonna shine
my
four little ones
will open there eyes
to a brand new day in the sweet by and by
mommy and daddy at the foot of there bed
praying, with their hands folded by their heads......
I wrote this poem one late night. Not often do I recall the anxieties and feelings that came with our bondages. God has taken us so far that it is sometimes unreal that we lived a life like that. But on this particular night, it all came flooding back and I sobbed sweet tears of redemption! I was set free!! His love is beyond anything imaginable. This is only a taste of what God has done in our lives. I could write a book. He does have a sweet name!!! and it is a pleasure to speak it!

Wow, it is really wonderful to read personal songs/poems; it compels me to worship God!
Thank you.

The Healing
1) From my bondage these shackled hands in freedom shall be raised
These blind eyes opened to see by faith
And this dumb tongue loosed to shout your praise:
“I believe, I believe You are good!”
Chorus:
You are good, you are good and your love endures
You are good, you are good and your love endures
I believe you are good and your love endures
Forever, forever and today...
And today these working hands in freedom are raised!
And today these healed eyes can see by faith
And today this loosed tongue will shout your praise:
“I believe, I believe you are good!”
2) In my silence these deafened ears have waited for your voice
And this broken heart is yearning to be whole
And these lame feet ache to dance for joy...
But I believe, I believe you are good!
You are good, you are good and your love endures
You are good, you are good and your love endures
I believe you are good, and your love endures
Forever, forever and today...
And today these listening ears can hear your voice
And today this joyful heart is whole again
And these beautiful feet will dance for joy
For you are good, I believe you are good!

I have been quite heavy in spirit, lately. This has helped me:
Psalm C.
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

The Voice of the LORD
In the beginning thy voice created the heaven and the earth,
Thy voice divided the light from the darkness,
Thy voice made Day, Night, Heaven, Earth, and Seas,
Thy voice created grass, herb, and tree; fish, fowl, and beast.
The voice of the LORD is upon the waters,
The voice of the LORD is powerful,
The voice of the LORD is full of majesty,
The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars.
But the greatest thing my voice can do is praise thy name,
My voice is beautiful only in speaking thy fame,
Because I dwell among a people of unclean lips,
My voice should say, Here am I; send me.
Thy voice answered Job out of the whirlwind,
Thy voice rebuked Eliphaz the Temanite,
Thy still, small voice commanded Elijah the Tishbite,
Thy voice rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was calm.
The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire,
The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness,
The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve,
The voice of the LORD discovereth the forests.
The LORD God breathed into Adam's nostrils the breath of life,
And man became a living soul.
While I have breath I will praise the LORD,
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
Praise ye the LORD.

WAKE UP!
Wake up! O, church of Laodecia
Arise from your slumber.
Throw away your lukewarm clothes, and put on the whole armor of God.
Forsake your idols of entertainment and the lusts of the flesh.
Cry unto the Lord and repent.
You have replaced His words with the doctrines of men.
You have cast off your first love for the things of this world.
God shall give wisdom to those who ask.
Ask Him how to be refined as gold in the fire, and you shall overcome.
Wake up! O, church of Laodecia.
For the time of Christ's return is at hand.

Here are some fragments of a song that came to mind when I was in need of comfort lately. I thought I might share it with you to encourage you too.
I've created you
Because I love you
I have given life to you
Heartaches, broken pieces
Ruined lives--
Is why I died on calvary
My touch
Is what I give you
I have given life to you

Holy One, God's Only Son,
There is joy in your presence!
Holy One, Son of God, Emanuel!
There is joy in your presence!
Excellent Lord, Forgiving Master,
There is joy in your presence!
Heavenly King, the Risen One,
There is joy in your presence!
Oh holy God, you are the King!
There is joy in your presence!
God of Grace, God of willing sacrifice,
There is great joy in your presence!
Silent Lamb, O Holy King, Emanuel
There is joy, great joy in your presence!
Merciful God, We entreat you O Lord,
There is joy in your presence!
God of Israel good to those who trust in you.
Joy great joy, in your presence!
They will never be put to shame.
For there is joy joy joy, in your presence!
Let the Lord be exalted, let his name be held high.
For there is joy joy joy, in his presence o people!

The Weeping Willow tree bowed and danced, swaying to the inspiration of the Northeast wind that breathed heavily on the secluded almost sacred meadow.
Surely this pending storm would bring the promised rain as the sky rolled in endless pillows of gray-blue and dooming clouds. Where would she find shelter? Her breath caught in her chest
as a crash of thunder shook the moss covered earth beneath her feet.
She stared enthralled as the Willow Tree moved fluidly to the gust of emotion the wind displayed. How could it dance at a time like this? Its long arms moved effortlessly... it almost seemed to praise with its whipping vines and shadowing branches.
Watching in admiration... she desired to be so free.
Taking a deep breath she made up her mind. She would no longer fear the storm.
She would not run... she would not hide. After all... she decided...
Its not about waiting for the storm to pass.... Its about learning to dance in the rain.
So she pulled off her shoes.... took the pins out of her hair, and as the rain began to fall...
She danced.
So beautiful!! brought tears to my eyes. thanks so much for sharing that.
Reminded me of the chorus of a song that I love that my DH wrote many years ago...
"Wind in my hair, rain on my face.
I have met my Maker!"

Today I saw the pines standing tall in the mountain light.
From a distance they looked strong and resilient.
I wondered what they were like inside.
I could almost feel their strength.
I saw the sagebrush pale green around the white sheep
The colors caught me by surprise and held my eyes
I wondered if they were as beautiful up close.
I knew they were.
I smelled the scent of pinon through my open window
The oils of pine and cedar wafting by
Their pungent odor seemed honest and complete.
So very clean.
Observation of the day the Lord has made instructed me
That he is perfect in everything he does, in everything he makes.
From a distance and up close. On the outside and inside too.
I'm so glad He's making me. I'm so glad I'm a tree in his field
A sheep in his sage, a fragrance in his nostrils.
Oh, make me... make me... like You make everything. Strong, beautiful, clean.
I love you, my God.
