(Hope this topic is appropriate in this section!) My oldest dd8 has had a heart for the Chinese people for at least 4 or 5 years now.   She has raised money, on various occasions, to send Bibles to China by making little crafts and selling them to people we know.  I looked on the internet for an organization that sends Bibles to China, and we ended up sending the money to Bible League.  My dd is currently raising more money, and I wondered if anyone knows if Bible League is a good organization through which to send Bibles, or if anyone knows of a better organization?  I am not sure which translation for the Chinese people is the most accurate, and we don't want to waste money sending to an organization which lines its own pockets or uses the money for fancy buildings, etc.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Heather,

I know that Voice of the Martyrs has Bibles that you can send directly from your house.  I am almost 100% sure that they are not KJV, though.  But maybe it would be a start.  Also, they have a prisoner section where you can actually type a letter in the prisoners language and send it to their jail.  I have done this before.  HTH!  Wink

Thanks!   I will check into that.   I suppose that the Bibles that are written in Chinese would not be KJV, as that is an English translation.   But, it would be good to know if the translation was accurate as compared to the original text.

I realize this is old, but I don't suppose it hurts to post here anyway.     RCMI is a really good organization to go through (revival chinese ministries international)

Thank you very much for replying---I'm glad you did!!  I Googled RCMI as well as it's  full name and found links to this ministry, but the links did not work.  http://www.rcmi.ac  was the one I have tried.  Do you happen to know a working link to this ministry?

Thanks for your help!

ScottsHelper,
PM me and I can get you in touch with two differant missionaries working in or with China, both with vast experience, excellant reputations and a real heart for the Word of God and people. I know them both personally, they are friends of mine.

Why go through a middle man if you can go direct? But some things you dont just splash all over the web Smiley

I use to help support a man who smuggled bibles into China. I can try and get you in touch with someone who can get you in touch with him.

Like Sharps said, some things you don't say on the internett.
