We've signed up on this, and every time we try to get past the main page, it is just a blank web page.  My dh was able to get us signed up, but now when we try to go in and search the directory we are back to the blank page Undecided.

He's monkeyed with our security and done probably everything else that a computer programmer guy could/would do, but we can't get to the site.  We even tried to e-mail the webmaster and got nowhere.

Anybody else with this problem?  What did you do to fix it?

TIA,
Cara

For some reason, (I haven't entirely figured out why) some computers are more sensitive about "cookies" than others.

In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, then to the Privacy tab.

I have my privacy set at Medium.
Click the Advanced button.  I don't have the "Override automatic cookie handling" checked.

If you have tried these settings, and the site still doesn't work, please post your results here.

Thank you Travis.  Okay, so now I'm getting it.  You must be the webmaster?  Thank you for your work!!

Dh e-mailed you last night.  We actually had everything set as you suggested.  So, he went in the opposite direction with the override thingy and checked it.

Didn't work either time. Tongue

It might just be me.  It seems to my female mind that whenever dh is on the computer, it behaves.  When I'm on it, it KNOWS something isn't right.  Maybe he oughta try it again with me out of the room......our van does this stuff too. Angry

Seriously, though, is there anything else to try?

Thank you,

To verify that it's not a cookie issue in IE,
go to the Tools menu in IE, choose Internet Options, Privacy tab and click Advanced.

This time, check the override box, then change the First Party and Third Party options to Prompt.

Close the browser after making the changes and reopen it.
Go to http://www.fellowshipdirectory.com and attempt to sign in.

You should get a prompt immediately after attempting to first access the site.  If you allow the cookie at this time, you shouldn't be prompted again and your sign-in should be successful.

When I block the cookie, the sign-in isn't successful and I remain at the sign-in screen.  You should have the same result.

(I'm working on duplicating your 'blank page' issue.)

Travis,

I did what you said about setting the cookies to prompt, and we do get prompted; however, this is followed by a successful login and we are redirected to the following URL:
http://www.fellowshipdirectory.com/main.php

I’m going to play with my Norton firewall and see if I’m blocking something there.

Thanks for your help,

Curtis

Travis,

I was able to get into the site once I killed my Norton Internet Security service. I'm not quite sure what setting I have ratcheted down so tight that it blocks the site once we get logged in, but I’ll try and figure that out later.

Thanks for your help,

Curtis
