Prayer Requests -- family, friends, community, etc.

My heart is very burdened today. A marriage is unraveling before our eyes. There is the couple, extended family, a house full of children, talents, and potential ministry at stake. The only thing for me to do is TO PRAY. Please, if you feel touched by this request - PRAY!!! please pray...

Satan is on the warpath - trying to destroy another marriage and family.
I am near tears now, I have cried about this already, and I should've posted it much earlier and just didn't think about it. Would you all please pray for my brother and his wife? His wife left him at the end of October, 2007. She moved back in w/ her dad (also divorced) and said she needed time away from my brother. She was hanging out w/ a lot of very worldly friends, still is, and they are telling her to just "dump" my brother and go on w/ life. My DB and his wife have one son, 5-1/2 yo, who wants his mommy and daddy back together and home.
This past Friday, my sil served my DB w/ divorce papers. If there were no children, the divorce could be final in 28 days. Because of their son, it could go on for a long time. She has "sued" to have their house and FULL CUSTODY of their son, which my brother is ready to fight for "tooth and nail."
My sil's family has told her that the Bible says that if one member has a hardened heart, divorce is okay. She believes that God will just forgive her, which that attitude IMHO falls under presumtuous sin. She works at a bar, which is obviously not going to give her good influence at all. She says that my brother is emotionally unstable, and so is going for full custody b/c she thinks that her son should not be influenced by his father's ways. (And working at a bar will give emotional stability??)
Now, my brother is by no means perfect. In fact, I can see him growing weary. (Please pray for that!) However, my sil is really trashing him, and I wouldn't put it passed her to lie to get what she wants.
Please pray the Lord will (1) save my sil, as I really think she is unsaved, (2) intervene so as to not allow this divorce to go through, (3) protect my nephew and restore his mind and heart, (4) encourage, strengthen, and give wisdom to my brother and all involved in this, and (5) get all the GLORY and PRAISE!!
As I think of more or as things change (hopefully for the better), I will update!! Thank you so much!

Please pray for a yong wife and mother, Loretta. She is the sil of my young teenage friend Jenny. She started to go blind, and they have diagnosed her with Optic Neuritis. She is totally blind and haveing a hard time. She has a 3yodd, and a 10modd. He husband and his family are saved, but she is not. Jenny and her mother were able to speak with her last week. Sometimes she is open, sometimes not. She has had problems with depression before, so please pray for her healing and most importantly, her salvation. Thank you, CJ

If you know Marilyn Moll via the Urban Homemaker or her phone seminars (continuing education for moms) pleas be praying for their family. Her husband, Duane, died of a major heart attack.

I could use prayer that my Dh's GI doctor will have wisdom when we see him on April 30th. After living 13 years with a mysterious stomach problem ( that comes and goes mysteriously) we have learned of several problems with his stomach area, including pre-cancerous cells in his esophagus. While this may sound very scary, we have done a little research and learned that most people with my DH's condition do NOT get cancer.
The goal that we need to achive, though is to reduce the acid in his stomach. The doctor may reccomend more testing, and possibly surgery. There are still a number of unanswered questions that we need to discuss with the doctor........I would appreciate continued prayers for peace as we navigate this process, and that if my dh needs surgery, he can get it quickly before our baby is born.

My request is minor compared to that of many others but still I am in need today.
I have had 4 ppl in my family die in the past few months and 2 of them have been young. I just found out about the 4th person, he was my cousin, he was in his early 40s and died of cancer. Leaving behind a teenage daughter. In addiction to those 4 family members I have had 3 acquaintances die (2 of them were young as well) and now another person has died and I have to go to yet another funeral home tonight.
I am on edge and angry because I'm sick of having broke plumbing, old floors and cabnits that have not been done since 1943 , a flooding basement and broken sistern. I'm sick of having to carry buckets of water to the bath tub from the kitchen sink and I'm sick of driving a van with most all the windows that wont wind down and a driver side door that wont open.
Right now I'm not handling it well and I'm not being very nice to my family which is very wrong of me. I don't feel good, I'm weak and I'm a bitter old bat today. And I'm being a winy complaining grouchy baby. I have prayed plenty about the broken things and now I'm getting impatient and ungrateful. I do not wish to be like that. I have so much to be thankful for. So very much.
Say a prayer for me to get over it and handle it all better and to treat everyone kindly. Thank you.

BJ - So sorry for the sorrow and pain that you are going through right now. Tell your chldren that you love them. Tell your hubby how happy you are with him. I would hug you, if I were there. ((((((hug))))))
I got a call from a woman that I know casually. She is having some serious difficulties with her health, her marriage, and her role as a wife. I think I need to give her a copy of

and my Man agrees. Please pray that I will have wisdom in presenting this to her.

I am asking for prayer for my family (extended). There is a funeral tomorrow for a distant cousin, who died under very unusual circumstances. He leaves behind two teen sons.
Please pray that God can use this in some way to show His love, justice, and salvation.

I have a friend going through a rough patch in her marriage. Please pray for her and her dh.
Please pray, as well, for me, that I might be able to say something encouraging. I haven't "seen" her since highschool and recently reconnected with her on facebook. She is not a Christian...so telling her "the Bible says..." isn't going to fly. Please pray for her salvation.
Thank you.

I'll be praying Roehrmomma.
I'd also like to request prayer for people who have had damage from other tornadoes and floods that have been occuring in the Midwest. My uncle has a friend who photographed the tornado right before it hit the campgrounds from the Boy Scouts in Iowa.
Is there anyone here who has had major damage or even slight damage from a recent tornado or flooding?

Please pray. My mother-in-law passed away this morning. She had been in very poor health for quite some time, but seemed to be somewhat better, so this was not expected. My husband is heartbroken.
He is on a trip 12+ hours from here to help take care of arrangements. We wanted to go with him, but were not able to pack and leave suddenly with our business responsibilities, so he had to make the trip alone. Please pray that the LORD will comfort him, and that I will be able to minister to him from here...
Also, he has a sister who has made herself nearly "unlovable" -- she has been a terrible parent, lied, stolen from her mother - even forged/cashed my MIL's SSI check. My husband and his brother are very, very angry with her. Please pray the LORD's will be done in this situation, because, even though I am angry with her as well, I want her to come to know the LORD...

I'd appreciate some prayer. I'm very discouraged and frustrated right now. DH seems impossible to please and is constantly blaming any disagreement or problem on me (if you would just say or do...). Every conversation is turning into an argument b/c I don't say exactly what he wants...then he turns around (when, not during an argument, I suggest that there are a few things we could work on in our marriage - root problems to these surface issues) and tells me everything is ok b/c love covers everything - apparently, it only covers his faults, not mine as he likes to remind me of them quite often (and especially when I'm actually doing well).
Oh, and I fully acknowledge that there are times I've messed up or had a bad attitude - I'm just feeling really really discouraged.

Urgent! I just recieved a phone call from my mother in law, and she said that my FIL had just gone to his first Mason's meeting! He has no idea (I think) about the bad spiritual stuff associated with them. Neither does my MIL, she was cheerful when she told me. I didn't know what to say, so I didn't say anything. I'll leave that up to hubby. It's so hard because we're all separated.
Please pray now, asap, that he will be "turned off" by the whole thing, and protected. I am absoloutly sick over this. They have been turning to God, and now this!

Hello, I praise God for this sight,
Praise!!
I'd like to thank God for giving such an awesome opportunity, that I get to be a part of
this
ministry...and that I am filled with such love from my God, and yours...My request is a blessing request: Will you be praying for my family Mike, Amy and Andrea(me) and my parents, and I ask that you would pray for a friend of Amy's : John. He and she are getting more serious about eachother, and it is a great blessing to us I simply need to ask if you would be remembering us, that God's love would abound that no division would be prone to spring up in our midst as the time nears for John to come to visit us. He is a real blessing and prayerful-man. He'd love this sight too...but anyway, I thank you.

Please pray for our family, especially for peace and that the Lord would keep us from evil. After a short respite, we've got about 6 weeks more of loneliness. Please pray that the children and I will be comforted and joyful. Thanks!

Not sure if this is the right place...but could ya'll pray for the preschool I work at? For various reasons (one being is that enrollment is not as high this year), they are in the red. If things don't improve soon, the church might not continue this program. This is a great program, I'd hate to see it go under. Not to mention, us teachers who would be out of work. We are all praying & helping out where we can (shortened hours, etc), but there's only so much we can do. Please pray for God's provision!
