Please pray for some dear friends of ours, Trey and Jennifer.  Their house burned last night.  Their two boys, Tyler (4) and Hayden(22 mo) both died in the fire.  Trey is a fire fighter, but was unable to reach them.  He was burned and is under complete sedation.  Please lift this family up in your prayers.

Lord have mercy on them. Especially on the wife since she is the one not sedated and having to live with the loss of her children and possibly her husband as well. Lord have mercy on her for sure.

Hi, all

I just found out that an acquaintance of mine is pregnant (19 weeks), expecting a boy, but the boy has trisomy 18, a genetic problem.   (for info -  http://www.trisomy18.org/site/PageServer).  The baby has a slim chance of living for more than a few hours after birth.  The lady is carrying this baby to term.

Please pray for this dear lady, for her family (her dh, her 4yo dd, her 2yo ds), and for the unborn baby.

I know God is in the miracle business & that doctors have been known to be wrong before.  (in fact, the doc went through 2 other diagnoses....and said it was a girl....before finally reaching the conclusion that baby has trisomy 18 & is a boy).

Nevertheless, this lady's strength & faith through all this is amazing....pray that she'll continue in this faith & strength.

Thanks!

UPDATE:

I recently found out that this dear lady has lost (miscarried?  not sure if it's still called a miscarriage at 20 weeks) the baby.  This lady's faith is still strong, but I'm sure it couldn't hurt to continue praying for her & her family.  They plan on planting a tree in honor of the baby on what would have been the baby's due date.

I haven't replied very often on the forum, but so many of you are like old friends just from reading your encouraging posts and praying along side you in the burdens you carry.

My husband is in Kuait waiting to go into Iraq for another year's deployment.  (This will be his second deployment.)  Please, if you would, pray for his protection, and for all those serving with him.  Pray that the Lord will put him right where He needs him to be, and to know and do His will while he is there.

I know there are so many of you out there going through very rough times, and our family's trial during this deployment is nothing in comparison.   But, if you are moved to do so, please pray for me as I am here with the children.  I am sometimes lonely with no church family or friends in the town where we are staying (we've moved to my father-in-law's empty farm house in a very small town while my husband is away), and I am sometimes weary from taking care of the children by myself day after day with no breaks.  We did fine last time he was gone, and I believe we'll do fine this time too, but this time is a bit more taxing on me for some reason.  He was only home less than a year and a half before having to leave again.  ...Trying to stay extremely busy and hoping the time will pass quickly!   Thanks for this forum and for your prayers!

Just prayed for you ScottsHelper!

I know how hard it is when my husband leaves for just 5 weeks at  a time with the military, I can't imagine him going on a year's deployment.  Embarrassed

This is a very real need, ScottsHelper.  My husband is gone for weeks at a time...sometimes coming home only for one night before heading out again.  I know how hard it can get.  I feel like I'm flying apart at times.

I will be praying for you...pray for me too Wink

It would seem as if there are quit a few of us in need of prayer because of husbands always being away. I have often thought about military wives and how hard it must be for them. I will certainly pray for you Scottshelper. Praying for ScottsHelper and you other ladies.

My husband recently went back to over the road semi driving. So I am back to being the single married parent again doing it all. At least we get to see him when he comes home every 2 weeks for 2 days.

Ya know what? ScottsHelper and you other ladies with husband whose work keeps them away from home for long periods of time lets try and all remember each other in prayer when we get in those real low slumps where we think we cant go on like this. Perhaps praying for eachother will help each of us. I dont take well to this phone marriage where our only time spent together is on the phone. At this point I dread the future because all I can see is me having to do the parenting and everything else all alone for years on end but instead I should be grateful that he has a job in this bad job market right now. So I also could use a bit of prayer.

Thanks to you all!  Yes, I certainly will lift all you wives whose husbands are away up in prayer!...not just now, but through the weeks and months to come! I tend to have a lot of free time in the evenings after the children are in bed  to do that kind of thing, you know!--We kind of understand what each other is going through.  A phone conversation with my husband is quick,  has to be split between all of us, and never lasts long enough!  :-)

In thinking about it, I am motivated in my mind to keep up with discipline etc. because, when I don't, things only fall apart.  I think sometimes, though, my emotions overtake what my mind determined to do, so that my being consistently cheerful and "there" with my children is difficult.  When they all want my attention, in a good way, I'd sometimes just rather be left alone to "think" about things.  But, other times, MOST other times, I just love to have them here--we keep each other company and we each have someone to love on--unlike my husband who is out in the world having to face it without close human companionship and someone to hold and come home to.  He certainly has it much worse than I!

Keep in touch, ladies!

I need prayer regarding the relationship between me & my mother, and between my mother & my children, and about a decision my dh has made regarding my mother.

It's very emotionally draining....I don't think it's appropriate to reveal much detail.  But please pray.

I'd like to request prayer for my brother Nathan's in-laws. Nathan's wife, Zephyr, just lost her brother in an accident. He fell off a roof on his head, and died one week later. He had just been married 6 weeks. His wife's name is April, and she is left now with a lot of debt and no husband.

Thank you,

Rebekah

Thanks for your prayers.  There are gang/racist symbols and messages spraypainted on the side of our garage, but doesn't appear to be any other damage yet.  The scariest part is that there were a couple of other places that got the same thing, and it's all the white families on this street in a 2 block area that got hit, so it kind of looks like we were deliberately targeted for our race.

The people who are doing this need Jesus.  My first prayer is that God will give DH and I the strength and knowledge we need to keep our child safe, but I'm also praying that something will cause the people who did this to come to know Jesus.  If that would happen, we'd be safe and they would be too. Smiley

Thank you to all who prayed, we are closing on a new house this afternoon and moving this weekend!   Grin

We have not been tagged again by the gang since we repainted over all of their messages, they have come back in the night a few times but didn't do anything but stand in the street and point at our home and talk... it appears that God prevented them from doing anything. I don't know why else they'd keep coming back at night unless they had planned to do something and were deterred.  Smiley

As I said in this quote, we recently moved to a new town to get away from gang violence in our old one.  Now we've encountered a new problem - a pervert next door!  Angry  Over the weekend our nextdoor neighbor went out of his house and exposed himself to the neighbors (husband and wife) on the other side of him who were out in their backyard.  They called the cops and came down to warn us about it because they know we have a little girl that plays outside a lot.  This guy has always given me the creeps and last time my husband was gone on military duty he came over and asked me to come over and help him get his garage door down.  I refused (nicely), but even having him on my doorstep really gave me the creeps.  My husband is leaving again on Saturday for 7 days of military duty, so please pray for protection for my DD and me.  Thanks

I found out yesterday that a woman (who I LOVE) at church has the paperwork to terminate her parental rights over her 13yod, making her a ward of the state. The LORD has done SO MUCH in her life, I know this relationship between them has been strained for a long time, but I am unable to let this go and am stressed out! When I think about the issues this girl would carry with her the rest of her life.... (((((HUGS))))) sandi~thinking and praying and researching other ideas and options to share

I had asked for prayer a number of weeks ago to remain strong while my husband is deployed.   I am finding out, somehow  much more this deployment than the first, how hard this separation is on a marriage.  Our communication, which once was almost daily, has dwindled due to the project my husband is working on. With us being half a world apart, it's easy to start wondering if everything is ok, or to focus on how hard this is.  Would you please pray that some way, some how, my marriage would be strengthened during this year my husband is away, rather than pushed apart?  Pray for protection over our marriage from anyone or anything that would threaten it.  And that I would remain diligent and creative in doing everything I can to build up my man in spite of this deployment.

Thank you for praying!

Dear Scott's helper...

I am praying for you right now. Being seperated from a person you love can be very difficult, I know. Thank God for having a line of constant comunication w/ him thru prayer!
