Thanks for the prayers.

Dh is doing better.

We also found out yesterday that our niece was not saved...she did not believe.   Cry  Not sure about the other 2 men, but chances are they weren't saved either.  The niece's dad (dh's brother) is now questioning God.  Please pray that all those involved will draw closer to God through all of this, not slip further away.

And the little girl will be taken care of by the niece's mother.  Poor girl....lost both of her parents!

Please continue to pray for the family - they can't afford to pay funeral expenses.  No one in the family can help.   Hopefully they can get help from the county or something.  If you have any ideas, let me know.  What's making it worse is that they won't agree to cremation, because that's not what she supposedly wanted.  Pray for hearts/minds to think clearly, pray for wisdom, pray for peace/comfort, pray for the expenses, etc

My grandmother is in the hospital, she broke her hip in 2 places. She is refusing pain medication and is in a LOT of pain. She goes into surgery sometime this afternoon.

Also, we received word that my MIL went to be with the Lord last night, so please pray for the family, there are some unsaved in the family, but most we believe are saved. We will be traveling to CA and then driving with family to Phoenix for the the funeral so please pray for traveling mercies.

Thank you,

Praying for the request. I sure hope the grandmother with the broken hip is ok.
-------------------------------
Please pray for this job situation for my husband. There is a potential job opening in the near future that he would be great at and has experience with. The best part is that it is local which would mean he would no longer have to be gone from home more then he is home. Him being gone for weeks at a time and only home for a day or 2 is killing us and my health cant take it for much longer, the kids also need him home badly. He really wants this job so he can be home.

His current job is not paying well at all. So something has got to change for the better in his job situation because we are very tired and weary of it all and needing a rest from the job and money stress.

Thank you,
BJ

^^I'll pray for this intention, BJ.

Ok, I have a prayer request too.

My fiance is flying over from the UK as we speak. He'll be here tonight, and one week from today (Nov. 7) we're finally getting married.

I've posted about some of the challenges we're facing here and here. Y'alll have always given me the best and most honest advice and support. If you think of it, please remember us in your prayers this week (and thereafter! just anytime you think of it lol).

We're forever grateful, thank you!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and give a little update.

My DH was able to preach the message and my MIL's service, and he was WONDERFUL! The last time he had gotten up to speak in front of a group (over 2 years ago) he was very nervous, and a lot of things he said didn't make sense. Well not so this time! You could tell that he was inexperienced, but everything he said was crystal clear and very well said. He ended up throwing out his notes and just speaking.  (I always knew he would make a great preacher someday, I just didn't realize it would be so soon!)

A LOT of unsaved people were there, and after the service ended we received a lot of really good comments about his message which was the gospel. One in particular, was a step uncle who has been living in the sin of Sodomy for many years, after the service he came up to Robert, and with tears in his eyes thanked him for the message. We have no idea if there was a change of heart or if his soul now saved, so please pray for him!

A day or two after the service I was talking to DH's youngest full sister (19) and I asked her if there was a time in her life that she had repented of her sins and trusted Christ as her Saviour, and she said yes, during the message Robert preached!!!!! Please continue to pray for her though, as she lives in England, and when she goes back she will be faced with the same ungodly friends and influences she has had in the past 5 years, and she knows that she is very weak in the area of standing out. She does what she can to fit in with those around her, and she now wonders if she should even go back there.

Robert was also able to get some good conversations in with several of his lost cousin. We have not heard if any were saved.

The service was the day before Halloween, and where we were on Halloween was in the middle of downtown San Jose, so I was able to give out a lot of gospel tracts that night, and also we went downtown next to the campus passing out tracts and evangelizing, and one man said he accepted Christ as his Saviour while Robert was talking, but we aren't completely sure. Only the Lord knows. Smiley

Thanks so much!

Thanks for the prayers.  Grin We had a small but lovely wedding and 10 days at a hotel for our honeymoon. We're so happy, it's been slowly sinking in over the past week and a half that we're actually married now. I can't even tell you how happy we are, and blessed! Smiley

Please continue to pray if/when you think of it. I'll pray for all the 7xSunday intentions as well, even during the times I'm not posting as often.

I have 2 prayer requests:

1) For my sister - as of last night, she was at the hospital, in labor with their first baby...hopefully things went well or are gong well...I will find out more news this morning....pray for a safe, healthy delivery & baby, and a speedy recovery, and pray for her as she embarks on that scary & uncertain & wonderful journey called Motherhood.

2) Pray for a lady we know, one of my children's former teacher.  She & her dh had been having marital struggles, and just struggles with life in general.  I guess it all came to a head for the dh, and he attempted suicide by shooting himself on Monday.  It happened in front  of the lady & their 3 kids.  He was in the hospital, on life support, but he finally passed away on Wednesday.  Pray for this lady & the kids - this is just so horrible, I can't imagine what they must be going through.  Pray for God to be with them...

Please continue praying for my sis & her baby.  They have put the baby in NICU.  According to last period calculation, and measurements, baby was born at 39 weeks, but the hospital feels like the baby is more like 36 weeks.  She is not suckling like she should, she doesn't have that rooting reflex.  Also, something about her muscles...most newborns keep their limbs are close to their bodies, but she does not....not sure how to describe it....she just doesn't have the same muscle tone as a full-term baby....??  Anyway, they have a feeding tube in the baby.  My sis is so stressed & worried.  Pray for her, and pray for a speedy recovery for her.  Pray that her baby will be ok.

Anyone have any ideas/tips/answers about the breastfeeding, and the muscle thing?

Please pray for our business situation. My in-laws are making the arrangement unbearable, especially since we left their "church". My mil gave dh a terrible letter yesterday. It is full of twisted Scripture and slanderous accusations. She closed the letter with Proverbs 28:24.

My dh has been and is many things in the past. You all know the wonderful change we have had in our family. My husband us a very hard worker, to the point of hurting himself. He not only provides for us, but he provides for his parents. Yes, he has made bad business decisions, but live and learn! He is NOT what they accuse him of.

We really need to get out from this last bit if bondage. The ideal situation would be to huythem out. Dh would like to sell our house, pay off the personal debts, and give the rest to them as a down payment on the businesses (yes, there are two). Please pray fervently for us. Pray that the Lord will show us his will, and while we wait, that we will be gracious and patient.

My DH has been going through a very hard time lately. And so have the rest of us in the family. I don't know the root cause but our family is really hurting and miserable. He seems very angry, hurt, frustrated, feeling trapped, etc. It has been going on a long while but is getting much, much worse. The kids are confused. None of us know what to do. Please pray for our family. I sense that this is very important.

Thank you.

Please pray for my three DC and me as we travel to OH for my paternal grandfather's funeral.  We will see a lot of family, many of which are unsaved.  We are not totally sure if Grandpa was saved or not, for in the last hours before he passed away he was unconscious.  He was given the gospel during that time of unconsciouness and much Scripture was read to him, so we just don't know.  I have a peace that God is in control..

A few specifics:

1.  Pray that my children will be on their best behavior.  We have been practicing some things in regards to how they need to act around everybody in these situations, but they are small and can easily forget.  This part of our family (being unsaved) watches us like hawks, so it is a GREAT burden to me to have a pure and honest testimony for Christ before them.  How the children behave can really have a lot to do with that.  Smiley

2.  Even though I know a gospel message will not be preached at a Catholic mass like what we may here in a Bible-believing service, please pray that we will have a chance to minister to them and even give them the gospel.

3.  Pray for safe travels as it's a 700 mile trip to our destination, and we will be moving around a lot while we're there.  Pray for a safe return.

4.  Pray that my Grandma will have a smooth transition as she will now be going to live with my aunt.  She was married to my grandfather for almost 62 years.  Smiley

Thank you!!

Hi Ladies. I have a history here..a long saga of loss and starting over and I am now this week fighting off the fear of not being able to pay rent and the sense that we are taking three steps back after the one forward. I wonder if there are others out there today needing prayer and encouragement and hope for specific things like work/jobs, rent; My heart knows that The Lord always meets our needs....but my mind is being tormented and I am finding myself unable to pray. I could use some help! Thanks.

Praying for you b/c I've been where you are on occasion myself.  Let's covenant to pray for each other, shall we?  I know we are in need, as well, so to know others (even one) are praying is such an encouragement.  Smiley

Praying for you, Amy.  Last night, I heard such an encouraging message about faith.  The preacher based it on Mark 9:14-29.  The main verse was 9:23, where Jesus said, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."  The preacher said that we know all things are possible with God, but we have to believe in faith that HE will bring it to pass.  It just meant so much to know that I just have to believe, because I'm already promised that God can work it all out.  I also like the verse following where the father says to Jesus, "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."  Smiley  I do have faith, but it's so small.  My prayer, as was this father's, "Make my faith bigger and stronger. "  Smiley

It's so funny that you post that, because I was thinking the same verse when I posted my request. I think sometimes I feel like it's being presumptuous to assume God is going to solve my problem. Yup, definitely gotta work on the faith thing sometimes!  Roll Eyes Cheesy
