Thanks for the prayers, ladies. Just to let you know, Luke Richard was born at 4pm today, weighing in at 5#, 9oz and 18-1/2" long. My SIL and brother are doing GREAT, and so is baby Luke, who is SO cute, btw~~

Please pray for our family... I can't go into details, but my DH needs his eyes to be opened about some extremely serious issues that are deadly or dangerous for all of us. He has not understood the situation, but he needs to or he won't handle this properly. Please pray.
Thank you
Whoever is praying, God is honoring your prayers!!! Please keep it up, beautiful things are happening, I hope it will keep going long enough to make a difference. Thank you, and please keep praying. Thanks!!

I am asking for prayer for my husband and his immediate family. His Mom is dying and today was moved to a hospice hospital. It is one of those situations that you know is coming yet are surprised at the speed at which it occurs. Thank you for lifting up our family.

I will pray with you.
I am also a military wife and was stationed over seas for 10 years. My Dh was not deployed all that much but I do know a little of what it is like to be without family and friends. We are about to be over seas again in 7 months. If you would like to ask me anything specific I will try to be an encouragment to you.
Praying.....
Thanks Thing have been better. I am just dealing with Anger issues in myself. Again Thanks

OK, I really need prayer. I am facing an extremely difficult thing. I need to deal with a situation that has been a serious problem for a very long time. I am afraid of how it will turn out. I'm so stressed I can hardly function. Please pray that my DH's heart will be softened and receptive to the will of God.
Thanks

Its kind of hectic here this morning so I will be brief but I could use your prayers. Last night we took in a mother and her four daughters who is seeking counsel about a potentially abusive marriage relationship. We aren't doing the counseling just providing a safe place to sleep for the very short term. Please pray that I would say only things God would want me to say and that I have peace. My eldest two are being huge helps but this sort of thing can cause major stress in me so I need to stay calm and lean on Him.
Thank you!

Have any of you heard about the quake in NZ?
About 4.30 Sat morning nz time (so around lunch time in the US i think)
Christchurch city and surrounding area was hit be a 7.1 earth quake.
An estimated 20% of homes were damaged to the point where they are un-liveable.
There have been over 100 aftershocks which are still continuing 4 days later.
Many people are currently in temporary shelters at schools etc.
Please pray for all those affected.
My family is not directly affected as we live at the other end of NZ, however we have friends and extended family who live in this area.
As far as I know, no one as been killed, but there are power, water, and sewage problems, and many people are not coping well emotionally.

Praying for those in NZ. I am very thankful for the basics of shelter, etc and can imagine how losing all of that in a single day could be so very discouraging.
Thank you for the prayers for my situation. My friend is on her way home. Hubby is open to counseling and has moved into their RV to give them space while getting counseling. Lots of fear and insecurity on both sides of the wedding ring but we are happy to see that they are both determined to try.
I made it through with surprising calm even though we had ten kids in the house, a mouse (which was not wanted), and the disposal in the sink quit. But we had plenty of food and only one fight. A theological fight about heaven having toys between her 6 year old and my 4 year old.
God is good and He provides all things.

A couple of months ago I had a vivid dream where I was pleading with a former teacher of mine to be saved. In my dream he refused. I woke up crying. I don't normally dream like this, so I think maybe it was from the Lord.
I really love this guy- he is such a nice old fashioned gentleman type. I prayed lots for him that night I woke up.
I haven't seen him since the dream- not until today.
He cooed over our new baby and commended me for doing so well. When I said that I couldn't do it with out the Lords help, he kind of brushed it off as the way I've chosen, and he stopped believing in God many years ago.
This saddens me greatly. I will continue to pray for this man. He is getting older so I feel time is short, though he seems in good health. I would appreciate if you'd join me in praying for James' salvation.
Thank you

Update- he has surprised everyone that he has lived this long but it's no obvious that his time is getting very short. Please pray for his salvation- I didn't realize until I was helping him get his affairs in order that he has studied many religions & seems to believe many paths to whatever God you want. He also seems that the main thing he sees in Christianity is ritual, etc- book of common prayer, rosaries, etc. (both of which he owned) From what I can make out based on other objects he owned, he is most strongly Wiccain or something similar. He is widely read, has an amazing memory, smart, set in his ways, etc- I'm afraid that his learning about all religions will actually get in the way. KWIM? I get tongue tied talking to him sometimes b/c he & I are such opposites in so many ways- he's very meticulous, etc with how he does things, I'm more spontaneous, seat of my pants style, etc. His frustration with my ways comes through & I have a hard time saying what I want to say. It reminds me too much of my dad b/c we have always disagreed on so many things & without meaning to I drop back into a girl trying to to displease an elder.
Please pray that someone in our family will be able to witness to him & that his heart will be softened.

A family friend- an "adopted" grandpa to our family needs prayer. I'm too tired to go into details right now but we've been helping him deal with stokes, renal failure, home based hospice, medical power of attorney, DNR, etc.
He's always been very independent & it's rough on him. We really need wisdom on when to encourage him to do things on his own & when & how to get him to accept help when needed.
The past week has been rough on us all. He could pass soon (esp if he continues to have more strokes) or it could be a few months. (estimate based on kidney function) Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks. Love in Christ. ~herbalmom

A family in Penn. has lost 7 of their 8 children when their house caught fire. The parents names are Theodore and Janelle Clouse. Janelle is 6 months pregnant, and one child named Leigha survived and managed to run out and tell her mom about the fire. The family has a dairy farm, and many of the amish and mennonite people have gathered around to help them, thank the Lord, though I can't even imagine how bad this hurts these poor parents, and the rest of the family. I pray for God to bless these parents with miracles and comfort right now. Their names are Christina, Isabelle, Brady, Hannah, Heidi, Miranda, and the baby Samantha. Jesus has 7 new little lambs in heaven now. Just remember the Clouse family everybody, God be with you and them!

What about the radiation we are supposedly being exposed to in America? I'm praying for wisdom for everybody. Should everyone in the N.Hemisphere move to the Southern Hemisphere or grow our food indoors? I don't know what to do.
