So I saw it come to pass
I saw him leave and felt the hot splash of tears
The sob of pain and grief
I felt the theft of life... right from my very hands
I saw the wicked one's hate

But I did not falter
I did not cease to breathe praise to the Holy One
The Living One

So I saw it drift away
I knew he was gone and now I  forced lonely breaths
The faltering confused gasps
I heard the cackling of the liar... I remembered and reached out my hand
I cried out against that destroyer

No, I did not falter
I did not cease to stoke the flame of praise to the Creator
The Creator of Life

So, I marked the spot
I remembered the One that had seen both sides of that line
I forced air to call upon that Name
Shattering of the shatterer... I cried his theft before the Living One
I reached into hell and grabbed hold

I swear to Jesus
King of Kings, Lord of Lords, I confess your Name
Resurrection and Life

So, I held it again
I felt the life return. I felt the resurrection.
The blood rush, the wide eyes
No words. No breath. Cry. Cry out. Let this air tear out of these lungs.
You are Holy, Holy God. Holy You are Holy.

I shout your Name
Life. Word. Way. Door. Living. Spirit. Eternal. Preeminent.
Oh, you are my life.

I will not falter.
Oh join me you rocks, trees, heavens... all that is.
I confess Jesus is Lord.

Lamb of God. Lion of Judah. Resurrected One. Prince of Peace. Word of Life.

This breath is for your name, Life Giver.
