Has anyone else ever had a dream like this?

When I was reading about your dream, it reminded me of a dream I had back in high school.  I don't remember much of it except that the moon was GIGANTIC in the sky & it was very red.  And I remember telling people in my dream that it meant the end was near.

I'm glad that you mentioned this! I really feel that my dream was indicating the end and maybe things that would happen. When I used to think of end times and the chaos that we would see, I always thought it would all be caused by man- like economic instability and war.  But now I realize that no matter how bad those things get, having the natural world/universe in chaos is so much scarier!

I must say, that though I asked if anyone had had dreams like this, I did not expect to hear answers like that. I don't know if I'm relived or frightened.  So now what? How are we to protect ourselves from planets falling on us and comets burning us up?

Um,  in the Narnia series in the first book I think it is when Diggory and the girl, I can't remember her name go into the first world and it is dying......the sun was huge and gigantic and red b/c it was burning out.   I'm quite sure that came from C.S.  Lewis' imagination.

What do you think Scripture says about all of this?  That's where you will find the truth of how the earth will end and subsequently where God's children will be when it does.  JMHO

Say it again! I agree with ya there. Im not even bothered about trying to protect myself and family from falling plantets and so on because I dont think I will be around anyways. And if I am then well I will just have to run towards the falling planets saying   " hit me!  hit me!  hit me! " like I would if a nuke was coming. That way I can get to heaven a bit faster then the rest of ya. LOL.

Revelation 6 talks about the "seals."  In order to undertstand the context of what's going on, I would read the whole chapter.  However, vv.12-17 are the focus of the red moon and planets falling.

"And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there ws a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.  And the kings of the earth, and great men, and rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

Since I don't believe we are going to partake of the "wrath of the Lamb," then I don't think that we will be here when these horrific things occur.  JMHO

My question was more rhetorical, in hopes of lightening the mood, than serious. After all, how can you protect yourself from a planet falling on your head? (assuming of course that the dream was literal) 

But I agree with most here- I hope I'm gone by then! Assuming that I am not however, I would certainly run to the hills, partly because it seems to make sense and partly because it is mentioned in one of the gospels. There are many ancient, and some contemporary, writings that indicate falling heavenly bodies and general mass upheaval in the sky above us. I do believe that these types of things will happen one day.

I live in Indiana. Big time flat land. There are no hills to run for.

Perhaps that is yet another reason why I mise well just run directly for the object that is killing ppl. Just to get it over with right away. LOL.  Well the sand dunes are about 90 miles away I guess I could run for the sand dunes.  My husband would want to stick around playing Rambo.

I have a feeling that before the major stuff happens there will slowly be the little stuff taking place that will set the stage for the big stuff. Things like financial depressions, out breaks of sickness and so on,  conflicts, wars and so on. Everything compiled together to make one killer ending. Like it says in the Bible about birth pains.

When we go into labor the pain in the beginning is not so bad and the peaceful non painful faze in between the contractions are far apart. Then as time goes on the contractions get worse and closer together. Until in the end it is just one giant huge diabolically painful contraction with no time of pain relief ( peace) in between them.  But at the end of all that pain comes a baby ( the baby being the good thing, the blessing). Just like at the end of all the worldly birth pains will come an end to it all.

Oh no worries! I don't mind, I just thought I might have sounded a little nutty thinking I could actually do something about it. Lol. So I thought I should clarify myself.

I know this is Sarah's Daughters... I hope you don't mind if I post this...

This morning I had a dream- very upsetting dream- and I feel like sharing it and where better than here? 

Beka and I prayed quite a bit about this dream, and I believe we understand most of it:

many things had already happened in the dream, but I think they were insignificant- like two dreams melting together or something.  So the beginning: I had walked and driven past a little house on our street many times.  I knew that is was owned by a single women and I was pretty sure she was of the homosexual persuasion. She was, however, being foreclosed on and was in the process of packing. As she was packing one day and I was walking by she began to tell me that a middle eastern foreigner man had told her that the economy was getting better because they were issuing yearly stimulus packages.  But she had never received one or heard of it so she doubted it would apply to her and she was very upset as she was a hard working women who could not afford to keep her home and yet others who were not citizens or barely citizens were being taken care of by the government.

In my opinion the dream is about things to come. This first part I am not as confident about, but these are my thoughts: This statement by the "foreigner" about economic recovery seemed to be a lie or a feint that people would believe for a time even as they endured blow after blow economically.

She also had 2 hugely long portable metal storage trailers (think like on a train- those box like things you see- but much much longer) one was longer than the other, and that is where she had a lot of stuff stored because she had moved into her current tiny house from a much larger one and didn't have room for all her stuff and had been keeping them in these and letting these sit by her home. But because she was moving she had moved them a few street/driveways over to right next to our home and left them in people's parking spots. I don't think she knew it was our home, she just put them in the first open area that was big enough for them. They worried me because they had government type emblems on them. I had the feeling that the economy, despite appearances, was falling and in bad shape.

Similarly I am not as sure about this, but the presentation of the dream seems to be that this person's wealth was deposited right at your door... although not actually on your property. The government symbols might indicate jurisdiction. I know this might sound weird, but, what it made us think is that if it is not illegal, use the wealth in those containers. For instance, if the woman was foreclosed on and had to surrender the containers to a government office because she could not afford to keep them or move them... the government office responsible for those containers probably has a liquidation policy... and depending on how "liquifiable" the assets are... they might simply allow you to have them under some simple conditions... like that you would empty the containers and dispose of them.

This was actually VERY common after WWII... the government had an enormous surplus of just about everything... land, buildings, factories, you name it... and a lot of it went for the asking.

If the economy tanks, and there are a lot of people that have to move into small apartments or whatever... these conditions could well happen again for different reasons. Maybe God will arrange the assets to make a "way out" for those that are aware of his calling.

As my husband and I walked down the road and past our house, we were discussing if we should do anything about these storage containers and if we should be worried about them and all the sudden we looked ahead and in the sky, but right in front of us, were two planets and maybe the moon. At first I thought that we were seeing mars as really bright and I thought "how beautiful! How lovely to see something so spectacular!" I was vaguely aware that there was more in the sky than mars and the moon, but it was so huge that I did not realize it at first.  Then I pointed to the one next to it and said "what is that? and what is that around it?" and right as I said it I began to realize we were seeing actual planets and how huge the planets really were and my husband said " that is Jupiter and those are its rings" and I could tell from his voice that he was in terror as he realized the situation before I did.  I knew that the planet next to the ringed one was mars because it was red and I could see every detail on it. I could see what looked like continents, but they looked like they were melting and everything was bright red, the continents were the brightest. The planet with the rings was so huge, I felt I could have reached out and touched it and mars was only a little farther away and I began to feel a fear I have never felt, like the ringed planet was quietly and slowly getting near and was going to crush us. It was so huge.  Then we looked to the right of us and there was another planet that was rushing/falling towards the earth and as it got near, the earth and houses and everything just burst into flame and everything started to burn and at that same moment, molten lava burst out of the street behind us and began to flow downhill towards the burning.  My husband and I began to run home to get our daughter and I knew we needed to run away from the planets and maybe towards the hills.  And here I woke up and I was so afraid when I woke up and this is only the second time I have ever been that afraid of a dream in my life.

Mars and Jupiter respectively represent (classically) the military and the government. The inference here seems to me to be that the government and the military (changing in structure, duty, and possibly mandate) will become ominous to the point of perceived imminent personal destruction... but that something else entirely will bring the destruction.

In other words, don't fear a looming government or a misdirected military... look for something else.

I wish I could explain the awesomeness of the planets and how dreadful they were. When I woke up and told my husband my dream he believed at first that the one with the rings was Saturn, but then I told him that in my dream HE told me it was Jupiter and so that seemed odd to him.  I'm not sure what they were, but they were scary! I have never before appreciated the laws of the universe and how God keeps everything in place and in order.  If it were not for his laws, we would all be dead. And a very horrible death. Has anyone else ever had a dream like this?

By the way, Jupiter does have rings... they are made mostly of fine dust and not of larger ice particles like Saturn's, so the rings don't really reflect light at all, and are nearly invisible.

I just have one thing to say, that one of the most scary dreams I ever had was also of Jupiter crashing into the earth. It was many years ago, and I dreamed I looked out of my grandmother's living room window (which was a very comforting place), and the whole sky was the surface of Jupiter. I could see the red storm and everything on Jupiter's surface. I remember it very vividly to this day, so I know the feeling that sticks with you afterwards. It was a very frightening feeling, one I can still feel many years later.

I had this dream when I was very young.  Maybe 10 or so.  It was terribly frightening yet so awesome to see at the same time.  I have never been able to get it out of my mind.  Not only Jupiter but many other planets were falling.

A few years ago, I had a dream that was not traumatic but I can't describe the effect it had on me --it was a powerful dream, even though the images were fairly "mild" in comparison to some dreams I've had (nightmares and such). I can't believe it slipped my mind when this thread was first started. I've been thinking about posting it for a while, but I'm just not sure I'll get all the details right.

I was in a neighborhood with long narrow houses (ya' know, that have those small brick porches with a stoop) set close together like you see in some northeastern states. I was walking down the street with my two oldest children. We were going to my Aunt's house (even though she lives in the south in a very different kind of neighborhood --so I knew it was her neighborhood, even though it wasn't her neighborhood, KWIM?) but I wasn't in a hurry because I was admiring the architecture of these beautiful old houses.

[The Aunt we were going to see is not saved, and is a very rough, ungodly woman. She's had five children, who are all grown now. At the time of the dream, two were on drugs, one was homosexual (I didn't know about either of these things at the time), and two had fairly "normal" family lives with only one who claimed to be born again. In my dream, her middle son was living with her. In real life only the youngest son was still home. The weird thing is that in the last two years the youngest son moved out and the middle son did move back in.]

Anyway, we are walking along and I'm pointing out all the neat things about these houses, and then we get to this one house... and I see something. There's no smoke or flames, but I can tell that the house is on fire.

I tell the kids to stay outside and I go up to the house and knock on the door. This very dignified, very old, gray-haired lady answered and I tried to get her out of the house.... and the dream starts over. I can remember what happened before so this time I try to go about it differently but again it starts over. This happened over ad over again while I tried different things to rescue this wonderful old lady. The dream always started over when it either got to the point where I'm trying to get the lady to leave, or when the flames have engulfed the second floor and smoke is pouring down the stairs and I realize it's too late. I was frantic at more than one point and the kids kept coming in to try and help me, even though I'd tell them to go outside. I can't remember enough about all the "do-overs" to recount the details in the right order, but I know that at some point I go inside my Aunt's house, that's right next door, and go up to the second floor to see if I can put the fire out from up there. But all that does is make me more upset because I realize that the fire in the little old ladies house is threatening to burn my Aunt's house down too and my Aunt and cousin will die.

The little old lady keeps trying to show me around the house and tell me all about the stuff she's collected over the years. Her house is jam-packed (but not in a messy way) with photos and memorabilia from hundreds or even thousands of missionaries! She keeps wanting to talk about her children/relatives/friends (the missionaries) and tell me the stories behind all the objects and pictures she's collected from them. But she just cannot seem to understand that her house in on fire and she needs to get out! She doesn't smell the smoke or hear the roar of the flames or any of that until it is too late -- and the dream starts over. Or if I try to *make* her see what's happening -- it starts over.

Finally, I decide that instead of just trying to rush her out, I need to help her save some of her most beloved possessions. These things are precious to her and I need to listen to her stories as we help her save them. So this time I let the kids come in with me and we listen to the lady's stories and my kids take certain extra-special things out to the front lawn. This time the fire moves much slower and we do get the lady out in time. The fire doesn't spread to my Aunts house either, and when we go outside, my Aunt and lots more of the family are standing out on the lawn. I am so happy and relieved and they are all talking and excited while we wait for the firemen to come and put out the fire (even though the house will be mostly gone by then) but I don't feel any danger anymore and I just blurt out that God is so good for letting us keep trying 'til we got it right! But nobody else knew what I was talking about because I was the only one that remembered all the times the dream had started over. And I woke up.

Wow! That's an interesting dream. It seems to me that it was given to teach something to you. Something you keep doing over and over again. And God is being gracious to let you get it right. Look in your life and see if you can identify what that might be. Your aunt seems to be part of the picture. Things that are precious to her (maybe) need to be rescued first. Your children may play a part. Or maybe this is someone close to your aunt. You know your own life. Just try to fit the pieces in place. Ask God for wisdom and understanding.
   I have had dreams that taught me things about my life. I think its actually pretty common. Its just that most people don't recognize them for what they are. They think they are just dreams. Maybe they are but somehow God has taught me things through them. My husband has them on occassion too. If you look at your life and analize how it pertains to you it isn't that hard to interprete.

The main focus was definitely the little old lady and all the stuff. I will say that, even at the end, though I was impressed by her stories and was very sad that most of her wonderful "stuff" would be lost (I mean, these were pieces of the history of God's people working to spread the Gospel to all the world!), I still thought it was foolish to stay in a burning house just because you "couldn't see the [flames] for the [stuff]", KWIM? But she was so focused on her things that it was the only way we could get her out of the house. I was worried about my Aunt and cousin because I knew that if the little old lady was doomed, so were they. I'm not really sure I was important in the whole scheme of things --I never felt like it was about me, even after I woke up. I told dh about it when I woke up and we talked about it for a few days. We have our own ideas about what it meant but I wanted to see if it would be confirmed or not so I don't think I'll say what we were thinking, yet.

That is part of what we were thinking... but it seemed so obvious, ya' know? I'm just not sure about such a "plain" interpretation. I guess I'm under the impression that dreams are supposed to be more mysterious and harder to understand. LOL!

  I don't think your interpretation was the obvious one. I didn't get at first. But you and your husband did. You had the dream, you know what the important parts were, you know what you felt when you woke up. Personally I don't think dreams are so mysterious. Sometimes it does help to have someone you trust listen to it and tell you their thoughts. They may see more than you did. I think your dream has much more to it than what I've said. I'm sure you already know that.

My dream last night:

Some one had taken over America and many ppl were dead and or missing. The children were all gone so were the old people. Couples were split up and taken to different places.

I ,as well as others, were taken to far away places out on the ocean to stay but not freely. It was kind of like a prison complex. No freedom but we could all roam around with in the island prison and talk to each other. My husband was not there. There was not many humans left anymore. They seemed to be mostly all gone. Not very crowded anymore. In fact I did not see even animals or notice much signs of life at all. Even the woods and ground seemed kind of baren.

Some of the prisoners some how had been able to either escape or be released back to the mainland and when they came back they said it was not safe at all on the main land and most ppl would most certainly be killed for sure if they go back there. And if they did not get killed they would be caught and taken to a much worse place.

The ocean had changed. What used to be the shores of the ocean were gone and underwater and the ocean shore was now at Indiana (my state). The new shore was near my home. I dont even know if it was the coean or not. It could have been a new massive large body of water. I live in northern Indiana kind of between lake Michigan and Lake whatever it is called.

Some ppl both in the island prison and on the main land were talking about starting to eat eachother because they were hungry.

Some how I managed to get off the island and back to mainland near to my home. My kids were gone and I could see that my husband had been there because he some how got free from the prison he had been in. He was different tho. He was in survivor mode and always going around in search of food and survival supplies. He was very focused on trying to protect us but kept mindlessly searching and looking around. Our land looked different. Other surviviors straggled in once in a  while.

There was a since of calm fear and everyone quietly knew 'they' could come around the bend and kill us at any time, (whoever 'they' is I don't know).

I did not see them but knew there was weird never saw before creatures killing and eating ppl. Evil hell bent creatures that were large and horrid looking. but I never saw them I just knew they were there and could feel their presence close by. We had to scurry about quietly so as not to let the creatures know we were out and about.

It would go from night time to day time. In the day time  there was  no rain,no wind,  Calm weather. The sunshine was not shinning brightly because it seemed to be cloudy or something.

PPl walked about kind of zombie like. Not too many ppl around tho because most had been taken, eaten or killed. I did not see dead bodies and guts like I so often do in dreams. The ppl were calmer then in most of my other dreams. Almost emotionless just moving about like a zombie.

In the dream I had a feeling that way off in the distance in other locations of the country and world that bad wars were taking place. Sever war and distruction so I knew I did not want to leave the area I was in because it was calmer.

I had the feeling the wars were in the east I think, the south east. And the prison I was in was in the west. I knew I did not want to go south or north because something bad was there. More war and evil I think. The north had a since of nothingness now. The south had a since of death. The west had a since of imprisonment. The zombie like ppl would come from the north. No one came from the south, the south seemed kind of dead or something. I just knew I had to stay right were I was. I knew that in the south east there was big giant evil horrid looking creatures and ppl ingaged in war fighting and killing. I dont know who was fighting whom.

She also had 2 hugely long portable metal storage trailers (think like on a train- those box like things you see- but much much longer) one was longer than the other, and that is where she had a lot of stuff stored because she had moved into her current tiny house from a much larger one and didn't have room for all her stuff and had been keeping them in these and letting these sit by her home. But because she was moving she had moved them a few street/driveways over to right next to our home and left them in people's parking spots. I don't think she knew it was our home, she just put them in the first open area that was big enough for them. They worried me because they had government type emblems on them. I had the feeling that the economy, despite appearances, was falling and in bad shape.

Similarly I am not as sure about this, but the presentation of the dream seems to be that this person's wealth was deposited right at your door... although not actually on your property. The government symbols might indicate jurisdiction. I know this might sound weird, but, what it made us think is that if it is not illegal, use the wealth in those containers. For instance, if the woman was foreclosed on and had to surrender the containers to a government office because she could not afford to keep them or move them... the government office responsible for those containers probably has a liquidation policy... and depending on how "liquifiable" the assets are... they might simply allow you to have them under some simple conditions... like that you would empty the containers and dispose of them.

This was actually VERY common after WWII... the government had an enormous surplus of just about everything... land, buildings, factories, you name it... and a lot of it went for the asking.

If the economy tanks, and there are a lot of people that have to move into small apartments or whatever... these conditions could well happen again for different reasons. Maybe God will arrange the assets to make a "way out" for those that are aware of his calling.

As my husband and I walked down the road and past our house, we were discussing if we should do anything about these storage containers and if we should be worried about them and all the sudden we looked ahead and in the sky, but right in front of us, were two planets and maybe the moon. At first I thought that we were seeing mars as really bright and I thought "how beautiful! How lovely to see something so spectacular!" I was vaguely aware that there was more in the sky than mars and the moon, but it was so huge that I did not realize it at first.  Then I pointed to the one next to it and said "what is that? and what is that around it?" and right as I said it I began to realize we were seeing actual planets and how huge the planets really were and my husband said " that is Jupiter and those are its rings" and I could tell from his voice that he was in terror as he realized the situation before I did.  I knew that the planet next to the ringed one was mars because it was red and I could see every detail on it. I could see what looked like continents, but they looked like they were melting and everything was bright red, the continents were the brightest. The planet with the rings was so huge, I felt I could have reached out and touched it and mars was only a little farther away and I began to feel a fear I have never felt, like the ringed planet was quietly and slowly getting near and was going to crush us. It was so huge.  Then we looked to the right of us and there was another planet that was rushing/falling towards the earth and as it got near, the earth and houses and everything just burst into flame and everything started to burn and at that same moment, molten lava burst out of the street behind us and began to flow downhill towards the burning.  My husband and I began to run home to get our daughter and I knew we needed to run away from the planets and maybe towards the hills.  And here I woke up and I was so afraid when I woke up and this is only the second time I have ever been that afraid of a dream in my life.

Mars and Jupiter respectively represent (classically) the military and the government. The inference here seems to me to be that the government and the military (changing in structure, duty, and possibly mandate) will become ominous to the point of perceived imminent personal destruction... but that something else entirely will bring the destruction.

In other words, don't fear a looming government or a misdirected military... look for something else.

I wish I could explain the awesomeness of the planets and how dreadful they were. When I woke up and told my husband my dream he believed at first that the one with the rings was Saturn, but then I told him that in my dream HE told me it was Jupiter and so that seemed odd to him.  I'm not sure what they were, but they were scary! I have never before appreciated the laws of the universe and how God keeps everything in place and in order.  If it were not for his laws, we would all be dead. And a very horrible death. Has anyone else ever had a dream like this?

By the way, Jupiter does have rings... they are made mostly of fine dust and not of larger ice particles like Saturn's, so the rings don't really reflect light at all, and are nearly invisible.

Thank you for taking the time to pray about and think about this dream.  Dh and I agree with the majority of what you have written. (he has also been thinking about this dream) When I wrote the dream out, it seemed to me that the middle eastern foreigner and the women moving had a lot to do with economy and I was very interested in what you wrote about the bin things and the government basically giving stuff away/selling cheap.

When I woke up from the dream, neither Jesse or I could sleep so we got online and researched Jupiter (to see if it had rings  ) and discovered that, not only did it have rings, but its rings are actually caused by the magnetic pull of Jupiter pulling in random debris from its moons and other celestial objects, and if Jupiter were to get that close to another planet, its rings would most likely become more defined due to new debris pulled into its rings.  I don't think that this is necessarily pertinent to the dream, but I found it very interesting.

  I don't think your interpretation was the obvious one. I didn't get at first. But you and your husband did. You had the dream, you know what the important parts were, you know what you felt when you woke up. Personally I don't think dreams are so mysterious. Sometimes it does help to have someone you trust listen to it and tell you their thoughts. They may see more than you did. I think your dream has much more to it than what I've said. I'm sure you already know that.

Thank you Beth. Yeah, I think there's more to it, too. I have ideas, but I'm still not sure about some things. And like you said, it helps to have others look at it and see what they say. Could be completely different than what dh and I were thinking.

. . .  I put this question here, in Sarah's Daughters, because I am a wife and I am looking mostly for "what you have done" scenarios regarding this while making sure to obey the guidelines laid down for wives in the NT regarding being in submission and not speaking in the church. But men and scriptural replies are more than welcome too. Ok, so is that a long enough preface?  On to the question-

. . . But my main concern is, what do you do with that dream? And how are you certain when it is from God or when you ate something bad?

I tell Duke about the dream.

And when you have a dream from God, is every element important?

I leave that to Duke.

Because sometimes it seems like there are small pieces of things from my daily life here and there that have no meaning with the main part of the dream. And let's say you have a dream about someone that you feel you need to share, but your not sure how to share that in a way that is acceptable or won't freak people out who might not understand the whole dreaming thing?

I don't try to interpret or read things into them. The strangest things can seem important in a dream. If Duke feels I should let someone know, then I will tell them. Other times, it may be of great value to the person, but we remain silent as Duke leads.

RARELY do I ever have any concrete clue as to the meaning of a dream. Almost always, the interpretation is held by the one who hears the dream. . . and SOMETIMES the person will tell us what it meant! (not always) It's like being the delivery person of a coded message. The meaning is often either revealed by time or the hearer.

So what is your advice? And if you want to share, what are/were your dreams?

If someone were to ask me, my advice would be rest in what has been entrusted. Seek your husband's counsel on what to hold and what to share and with whom and when. Your husband's headship will be a covering and protection over you. Learning to rest in God's guiding hand as he leads your husband is vital (IMO). Dreams have (for us) come at unexpected times and irregular intervals and we seldom know as much about them as do the ones we tell. . .

There have been occasions when the dreams were for us alone. I think these were most often dreams to prepare us for upheaval and events where we would need to recognize how to follow him in the midst of lots of 'stuff.' (Not fun, those, but grateful for them.)

Some people believe that there are universal symbols in dreams. I don't know. We pray for God to give us wisdom as we go. . . Most often, we've remained private about dreams as (for us) they are most often personal and pointed, not things to be widely published.  BUT that could change . . .

I'm not saying that dreams shouldn't be published, btw. I'm just saying that God uses different dreams in different ways and we recognize that not all dreams are meant for a wide audience, but for other reasons (that's where a husband's headship is a great comfort).

Just what works for us.

           what you said about telling someone else your dreams and them having a better understanding than you did seems to be the way it often happened in the bible. Most dreamers told their dreams to a prophet or someone else. They didn't usually know themselves. Might be an interesting bible discussion.
  I have only had a handful of dreams that I felt were from God. And for whatever reason I woke up with a general understanding of what the "message" was. It would become clearer as I thought about it. Or talked with my husband about it. I don't think we ever told anyone else or asked opinions. In our circles it would be sort of disapproved of.
   I grew up in a non denominational baptist type church. But my father always believed God could speak to us through dreams. And he said he had a few dreams in which he felt that was the case. So I was always open to that. My husband didn't always believe in dreams until he had a direct answer in one that could only be explained as an answer to prayer.
