I pray night and day for all the many of you on WTM, 7xS, NGJ people, etc. I really do. Many of you I pray for by name and often with fasting and lack of sleep.

When I post I pray. I pray that the Spirit would speak and not me. I pray that the people that can hear the word of the news and message of God that they will hear it and hold it. I pray that my work in the word will heal and restore and cover the righteous of God. I pray that you would have protection from the evil one, food to eat, health, and knowledge of God. I do not cease to pray... Many times I pray for people that I don't know with needs that I have never heard.

I fast at least two days week in my prayers, and often pray through the night as the Spirit of God compels me.

I am not saying this as a boast, or as proof that I am some spiritual person, or whatever... I am saying this to plead with those of you that will:

Pray for me. Cover me in your prayers, and don't stop. Please pray. I cannot tell you how important this is to me. The Spirit will guide you perfectly in your prayer, just take the time to remember me as you pray...

Thanks.... we love all of you.

Just now went before the LORD on your behalf and will continue in prayer.

Thanks for sharing the need.

Gabe,  Do you feel that none of us do pray for you?  Just curious if that is the reason you wrote.  We have prayed for you guys many a times.  Will continue to do so.

Praying from here as well. I have prayed for and thanked God for you and your family in the past and will do so again.

When the time is right we will know what we need to know. I am sure it is never easy not being able to share and tell things. People in general have a need to talk but sometimes our positions in life wont allow that. But whatever the case may be God knows it and we can all pray.

First of all thanks, it is really a trip... within 20 minutes of posting this... we had a pretty significant need met by your prayers. That was pretty amazing, a little unreal, poetic really. But, I guess I should have expected it. Thanks again. That was really sweet.

Next, we know a lot of you pray... and, to be honest, this is not a specific need that we ask for... just that we have been under a lot of opposition lately. An amazing amount, quite frankly.

I was thinking about it, and remembered the battle of Thermopylae. According to the story, about 2,000 Greeks held off 100,000 Persians long enough for the Greek navy to badly defeat the Persian navy... and the Persians retreated. The reason 2,000 Greeks could do this was because the Persians invaded through a narrow pass... and only so many men could engage in combat at any one time.

This is exactly how any federal government works (to the detriment of the people). One department of the government can control vast amounts of power. For instance the FDA can approve a drug, or make illegal an entire class of plants or ingredients, and millions of people will suffer the consequences. In other words, so much power is concentrated in such a small group of people, that this group of people can subvert the will of millions... and of course its a lot easier to bribe a small powerful group than it is to bribe a large disparate group.

I believe the law of Moses described a system that was just the opposite. A system that made each family autonomous... a government system so perfectly divided among the families of a nation that unless the individual families willingly capitulated their autonomy, they could never be subverted in their individual goals, desires, and right standing before God... of course they asked for a king... and... everything went downhill quite quickly.

The point that I am trying to make is that I do indeed pray like there is no tomorrow. I really don't know anyone that prays as much as I do. I am not saying this so that you will all be guilty... blah, blah... it's just that Beka was saying to me, "Why is all this opposition happening?" ...and I thought about it a bit and prayed about it... and it was like God said, "If the enemy overcomes you... what is left?" It was as if I were the weak link with regard to this work, but that I didn't have to be.

Now I am not saying that all you, our 7xS and WTM friends don't pray, and don't pray for us in specific... but, as I have said before, I really have never met anyone that prays like I do. I am a praying freak. So. I put out the plea in an melodramatic sort of tabloid manner... a little out of desperation.

I thought that God was saying that I should spread the power, so to speak. Plead that you would pray for me... and, of course, for each other (which I forgot to add), like I pray for you... and make this battle an "all fronts" battle... not just some crazy Greek in the narrow pass... Wink

Thank you, thank you, thank you... we really desire and covet those prayers, and I never thought to put out the "challenge" before... so, now you have it.

Beka here:
Thanks everybody! Gabe is asleep now - he was on night shift with the children. They all (except the newborn) have a strange fever sickness that appears to hurt quite a bit - they are all very still and not moving to avoid the pain???  I'm on day shift. So healing from sickness is one specific prayer we would appreciate; it's just one of many things that have come against us the last few months.

Thanks again,

Beka

I have prayed for you folks and will continue to do so when the Spirit whispers your name.

Beka, I know what it's like to have sick ones and feel it's the devil striking out at you.  We were sick all winter and, looking back, I have to wonder if the devil was trying to make us lose faith in our God.  Then it seemed like a final blow when in spring dh had a bad motorcycle accident.  I honestly don't know if our circumstances were the Lord testing us or the devil tempting us or both . . . but I do know that God has been right beside us through it all as He will be with you.

Praying.

I just have to say thank you again to all those that have prayed. Today has been another unreal day of unexpected goodness. I am now the debtor. Thank you. Thank you all so much.

Pray for each other. The power, I can attest, is supernatural.

Beka mentioned that a number of you are already fasting once a week for your husbands... I did not know this and feel a little sheepish about chiding those of you that are already fervently seeking God with prayer and fasting. I also want to say that I don't allow Beka to fast as much as I do. In other words, women, be lead of your men in things like fasting... in any case don't (please) be led of me.

We love you all very much.

Thanks, Gabe. I sheepishly admit that I needed such a reminder.

A family in our fellowship "celebrated Ramadan" in a Muslim home 2 weeks ago and have been sick ever since. I don't know if the food was tainted or if they just put a curse on them, but I do believe it's related.  This reminded me to be praying more for them.

BTW, how exactly does one pronounce "Anast?"  Does it have the accent of 'Famished' or 'Aghast'?

Ok, I just saw this today and please know that I will be praying for you.  I have sensed an overshadowing of your family the last few months but couldn't understand why.  Now I see that you've been inundated with trials!  I will be interceding for you and lifting up your needs to Jesus.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Jesus said, "My Father's house shall be a house of PRAYER!!!" I believe that when the Holy Spirit indwells the house, people are compelled to pray...without ceasing, continually, all the time, all day long and into "the night watches"... communicative relationship!! Pappa had another little phrase he used called "soaking prayer". That was like praying until the answer comes.  Smiley

I missed that last question earlier... and the choice of words... lol... that is really funny in light of me needing prayer. I love "word coincidences."

Lets say that its more the accent of "lavished" or "solaced"  Grin Beka says, "Raddest"... that's what I'm talkin' about...

Thanks again for your prayers, and all your care...

I would just like to pipe in here that I need to be reminded how big a responsibility it is to moderate a forum like this one. To be so full of wisdom and direction and still humble ... it is daunting to me. Thank you for showing your human side.

On December 8, 2008 I did pray in an appeal  for you, Gabriel.  It had to do with the United States and the Body of Christ.  You were not the only gentleman, but you were specifically one of the men on the list of appeal which the Lord, I feel, had me write down.  Though I had not been on 7x for quite a while, I had been on here enough, I guess, that the Lord brought you to mind.

Thank you, sir, for watching and praying.

Five days after your first entry in this thread, we went into a deliverance that has been victorious in Christ but difficult.  It ended just yesterday, completely.  Though, my husband thinks that we need a bit more healing from some of the damage.  I had been carrying some things for 28 years, and then my husband and I had some other things that we have battled particularly in the last 6 years.

It is marvelous in my sight, how the Body of Christ is indeed laboring one for another.  We are His Bride, I worship and am encouraged that indeed, He is All In All.  Sometimes, I despair for Us, but I repent for after all, He Is Perfect.  It's my vision that isn't, as stated in I Corinthians 13.
