I'm sure this might have a thread somewhere but I can't find it at the moment so please forgive me.

I hear a lot about making crockpot meals and we have done it before but we have one problem; most cpm have beans in them, and my mom is allergic to legumes of all kinds.  So what I'm wondering is if there are any cpm recipes out there that y'all have tried and like that do not contain legumes? Plus I would like to start filling my cookbook that I'm keeping in my hope chest <3
Thank you,
B.C.

Aw man...I gotta remember to get back to you... I use the crock pot for everything, even oatmeal, but I'll have to do that whenI have more spare time...
Immediately, beef stew and pot roast come to mind...

My family likes chicken and a bottle of barbecue sauce simmered in a crock pot all day over some rice with a salad on the side. But then, the bottled sauce isn't the best and you still have to make rice and prepare salad.

They also like chicken, carrots and potatoes cooked all day in the crockpot.

There are so many other better recipes, but those are just off the top of my head. I would check out the WTM threads, they are pretty good.

The huge advantage of the crock pot/slow cooker is that many of the nutrients will stay in good shape.
The heating is on a low setting, thereby not destroying all the Vitamins.
