I was wondering if anyone had opinions on using the Bible as the main text in homeschool, like the Student of the Word curriculum?  I wouldn't be able to afford it,  so was wondering if anyone has done something similar?  Thanks!

I think the Bible as the main text for school is very do-able.  We did it for a while and it was great.  We did reading, took verses from our reading for dictation or copy work, and studied the time period for history.  It was fun.  I suppose one could even do science from it if inclined... but we didn't.   Science is more fun if  you get out in the world and experience it, imho.
