My daughter, 9, has been getting a good amount of pimples and black heads for her age.  Her older sister, 10, doesn't have any.  Does anyone have any solutions to get rid of them, especially the black heads, since they don't go away, or keep coming back.  I had a problem with them as a teenager and even some now.  is there any way to get rid of them?

I would try bentonite clay... http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Bentonite-Clay-Powder?id=tJCh9XYa

Also, perspiration.  Get the child to sweat.  I would guess your older dd is more physically active.

My sister and I were like this, she had skin issues, but I didn't.  She stayed in the house and read a lot.  I rode horses, built fence and worked the garden... even when I read books, I did it in top of the tallest tree I could find.

Also tea tree 0il works wonders for pimples.  You can dab it on lightly full strength or add a few drops to a facial rinse or cream.  Our 13 yo just dabs it on full strength and the pimples are almost completely gone by the next day.  Good stuff!
And D&L's observation about the link to perspiration is so true!

Is your diet fairly healthy?  Does she get lots of exercise and spend time outdoors?  Usually, it is a sign of the body trying to cleanse out stuff.  This is not always the case, but most of the time it is.  Just a thought.....

Make sure she's drinking a lot of water. Also, change her pillowcases every 2-3 days. Sometimes oil and dirt buildup on your pillowcase, rubbing against your face, can cause breakouts. If she has long hair, it may also help to keep it pulled back in a ponytail or braid while she sleeps, to keep the oil from coming in contact with her skin.
