HI y'all!  I have been a wife to my wonderful darling for fourteen years and am mama to four~Allen-9, Jamie-7, Preston-4, and Hazel-1.  I found out about 7XSunday from a fellow homeschoolblogger~I came looking for a thread on salvation that set her free.  I've not found it, but I am familiar with who y'all are and am *VERY EXCITED!* to be here!  (((((HUGS)))))  sandi

Is it too late to introduce myself? I feel a little embarrassed that it has taken me so long after all the posts I've already written. Better late then never, I suppose... Smiley

I live just outside of Seattle with my wonderful husband of 3 years and our two girls, ages 21 months and 4 months. I found this site through NGJ and have found it to be a blessing, as my husband isn't saved and we don't attend a church. He grew up in a "good" home, but not a Christian home. He seems very interested in the Word though, and I try my best to live according to the Bible without "teaching". It is hard sometimes! I pray that God will come up with a solution and I just need to keep learning how to do my part. Thanks to the wonderful source of knowledge on this site, I feel more able to do so! I feel quite alone in things sometimes and find much encouragement here.

On a lighter note, we enjoy family weekend times together as dh owns a large firm and works a lot. We are busy building a new home right now in the foothills of the Cascades and really enjoy the wonderful beauty this area has to offer. We like to travel, when dh's schedule allows, and to teach the girls about everything we come across in our times together. We will be homeschooling and are planning to learn to raise much of our own food in the years to come—starting with a large garden, chickens...then working up from there!  Smiley

Thanks so much for everyone's help with my questions in the past...and in advance for the ones I'm sure I will have in the future as well!  Grin

Trying my best....

« Reply #92 on: August 13, 2007, 02:30:36 AM »

OK, I have forgotten to do this for long enough, so here goes!    Tongue

We live in Tennessee in the great South!  We have 4 children:  a 13 yo son, 11 yo daughter, 9 yo son, and a 5 yo daughter.  I have been married to my lovely wife for 17 years.  We have 10 acres, two dogs, about 30 goats...we USED to have chickens (how I miss those fresh eggs!) and have on occasion raised a few cows to kill for beef.

I am a reader of MP and NGJ, and have enjoyed all I have read and heard very much.  My DW has read a few of the Pearl's writings, but she is very busy with school, and doesn't get a lot of time to read.  Homeschooling a kindergartner and a high schooler at the same time is a BIG job,  so she depends on me to fill her in on the good stuff!

We are a very musical family.  I play trumpet, DW=piano, flute, saxophone.  DS #1= trumpet, piano. DD #1=piano, flute, bells. DS #2=DRUMS.  DD #2=FUTURE "com-bone" (trombone) player.  We have no idea where that came from!

We are from a Charismatic background, and enjoy singing and playing music in church.  My son is almost as good as I am on trumpet now!  We love to play the good ol' tunes like "Have a Little Talk With Jesus", "Keep on the Firing Line" and "When the Saints Go Marching In" together on trumpet.  If you have never been to a Pentecostal church, the music is usually  good.  You pretty much HAVE to clap your hands or tap your toes.  It is a great time to worship!

We have had some thoughts of looking for a new church because of some doctrinal questions and the possibility of a new building program which we are very apprehensive of, but have not made any decision as yet.  Please pray that we would follow God's will in this.  It is very stressful to think of moving.

I found 7xsunday through welltellme.  I have got to say that this is my favorite place on the web!  I get so much encouragement from a lot of you folks, and feel like I know you personally.  It is so neat how someone can have a "cyber-personality"!  If some of the posts had no name attached, I'll bet I could guess the author!  Thank you to all who have been, and will be, an encouragement to me in the last few months.

7xSunday is the BEST!

Well, I have been participating in welltellme and 7xsunday for a while now, and I thought I had already posted an intro, but as I was reading through tonight, I realized that I haven't!   So, here goes....  My name is Shelby, I have a wonderful husband Stan.  We have four awesome kiddos - 13 year old twins (boy/girl), a 9 year old girl, and a 5 year old boy.  We have always homeschooled our children and we absolutely love it.  We live in Southwest FL, and well....we like it ok, but hope to move back home to the "real" South someday.  I am from NC and Stan is from AL.  I have read NGJ articles for a number of years and through that website I found Welltellme.  Then, a friend gave me Created and Jesus used it to change our family.  Since then, I have embarked on a wonderful new journey of truly loving my job as a helpmeet, of herbal remedies, and alternative health care, and most importantly as someone truly in love with Jesus Christ.  I can honestly say I absolutely love the life the Lord has blessed me with.  I am so thankful also for the godly insight and prayers and encouragement I have personally received on this site.  Blessings to everyone!!

Hi,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Susie. I know that God led me to this website two days ago. After I put the kids to bed, I sat down at the computer and began a google search on fellowship with christians and I found 7 X Sunday! I was blown away by the love and truth here. I have been reading and loving the posts.  I hope that my time here will be be a blessing to you, as well. A little more about me: I have been married for 13yrs, I have four children (dd 8, ds 41/2, dd 2, and dd 4months), my husband is a full time worship pastor, I homeschool, I enjoy reading, and I have two cats.  Grin

Welcome Susie.  No doubt God is using this website to give godly instruction to believers.  I have found, and I think you will find as well, that the men and women here seek to glorify God in all they do and say.  I have received much godly wisdom from the people here.  There is no question that you can't ask and you can know that you will always receive honest, godly instruction.  Even though most of us have never met face to face, and probably won't meet this side of Heaven, we truly do lift one another up in prayer and bear each other's burdens.  Even among all the "trash" that can be found online, there are some bright spots -- and this is definitely one of them!  Welcome.

Welcome, eh!
Just kidding.  We are neighbors - Minnesota here.  I've seen other Canadians around, so you're not alone.  Besides, in Christ there is no male or female, right?  So there must be no American or Canadian!
Glad you have you around.  Don't be shy, we won't bite!

I don't know if any of you remember me...I used to post here a long while back, and at WellTellMe. I decided to see what's cooking over in these parts! I've been lurking for a while and I decided to go ahead and post.

So, to introduce myself, My name is Kate. I have three children, 2 boys ages 5 and 3 and a girl who is 10 months. Her baby picture is my avatar. I am a SAHM, a freelance writer and we are joining a home school co-op soon. My husband is back in school in addition to working so that's an interesting challenge!

I miss the fellowship you ladies bring and with starting homeschooling and with our lives being in this interesting stage I knew I'd need some great advice. So, hello to everyone! I look forward to spending time with you.

Actually, I love Big Macs! I don't eat them very often but they are a weakness. My name is actually based on my last name...I'm a "Mc."

It's nice to see you gals.
