Well, I'm not introducing myself really, but I've never put a picture of myself on this, so I thought I would say so now that I have.  My hair is pulled back so it's not the best pic, but it's better than some I have.  Not very photogenic, IMO.  Smiley  DS is, though.  Smiley

Hi my name is debbieo.  I am a homeschooling mom.  We live in the country on 16 acres.  I like to cook from scratch, garden, sew and take care of my home.  I am 52.  We have 5 daughters, two married and our just 17 year old went to Bible school this year.
I think I may have found this site from the freejinger place.  I was trying to find out why all these folks are so mean to certain bloggers.  I think I have it figured out.  One thing all the bloggers have in common is that they proclaim Jesus as savior.  I too am a beliver and am saddend by these poor one ladies who have so much hate in their heart.  Some even claim to be previous Christians.  I know there is a verse that talks about its better him who never knew than for  one who knew and then left.
Anyway I hope to learn my way around here.

I would just like to introduce myself.  I was linked here from another site (which I have been a member of for years but haven't been active at for quite some time.)

My name is Amy, I am mother of 2 children.  William is 10 and Abigail 8.  I have been married for 10 years.  It has been a long, hard road in my marriage.

My husband and I are part of a ministry that takes in people with life-controlling issues.  http://www.heartland-ministries.org  My husband has lived here since October 2007 and has been sober since, my children and I have lived here since June 2008.  I work at the school as a youth instructor, working primarily with troubled teen girls.  My "job" is very fulfilling and it draws me closer to the Lord everyday.

I am a fairly young Christian, having given my life to Him in February 2008.

I just wanted to post an introduction here so it would be known that I am not a "troll."  Like I said previously, I have been a part of the site for years.  I know many of the moms very well and would check in from time to time to "see" how they were doing.  I felt convicted about it because of the things I would read and see.  For some time now, I have been wanting to cut myself off from them and find another community to be a part of.  For very selfish purposes, I am happy that the link was posted.  The odds of me finding this site any other way were slim!  But that's how God works, isn't it?

Thank you for this site!

Hey acwakip, my husband and I came from your neck of the woods!  Well, actually, we lived further south, near Joplin.

That is really a neat ministry you guys are part of.    A great concept.

I've merged your introduction to this thread entitled 'Introduce Yourself!'
Yes, the Sarah's Daughters Board is the place to post items that deal with things that fall into the category of items covered in Titus 2:3-5
Quote
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness ... that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

If you need more information on how to determine where to post you can pm me or you can check out the following links:

Hello everyone  Grin  I thought I had better get around to introducing myself , I've been reading for a few weeks now and have been so blessed and encouraged by you all.   My husband and I currently have 3 precious children, we live in the UK.  I seek to be the wife and mother the Lord made me to be - my life was changed completely after reading 'Created to Be His Helpmeet' before that I read the verses in the Bible regarding a wife's role and dismissed them as not for this time, with help from the Church I was attending  Shocked  So CTBHH offended me greatly at first, but the Lord has really used it to shape me as a wife.

Sorry for that rambling, look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi everyone,

Time for an introduction. We're from South Africa. I'm married to LearningLady, and we have four children - so far...

We homeschool, use the KJV and seem to fit in less and less with the conventional (Christian) crowd.

Lately we haven't been to church much due to the ages of our kids (2 under 18 months) - especially since they look at you funny when you don't send your children in all different directions to "sunday school" etc, when we want ours to sit with us and hear the "real" Word, not the watered-down Jesus-is-your-friend Bible "stories".

However this has led to us spending time in the Word daily as a family, works well in bite sized chunks for the little ones. Feels like we're taking responsibility for our own spiritual lives for the first time, really reading the Bible instead of listening to some well meaning man or woman "preaching" a 5 point powerpoint presentation about how to live better lives.

Been wishing we could meet like minded people - seems like we're in the right place here...

7x sunday is a great blessing to me!
I have so enjoyed “getting to know” you all a little. Thank you for what you have shared from your hearts so openly. I think its time to let you all get to know me a little.

LearningDad, my DH and I are sitting side by side introducing ourselves – kind of a weird thing to be doing – but fun! Lets see... it seems that we are just learning, learning, learning! I am learning so much. I am learning to love the Bible so much, though I have been in Christian circles all my life, I have definitely never had a love for God's word before. I love listening to my DH read it to our children in the mornings. The Bible is really coming alive to me – so much more than through bible story books, sermons on “topics”, or all the books “about” the bible – which strangely enough are where I have always got my “knowledge” of the bible from. We have grown so much by learning from folks like the Pearls and the Maxwells (Titus2.com) and are so grateful for their ministries.

When DH and I got married, we lived the good life, travelled lots, spent lots of money and were basically very selfish even though we were very involved in serving in a church. We didn't feel “ready” to have children – and God in His grace has taken us on such a journey. When we lived in the USA for a year (we live in South Africa btw – hello horsemama!!  Cheesy we met some homeschoolers and thought that a very strange concept. I was always terrified of childbirth. We have changed completely in so many ways – we are homeschooling our children, we have had homebirths for them all and God is leading us in so many exciting ways. I am so blessed by my DH's passion for God and His word and am so loving being a Mom – being a helpmeet and Mom brings together everything that I have ever done and desired into one great big purpose! 10 years ago – I never would have known it.

Thank you Lord! Thank you G&B for this forum.
Love,

Thank you for the welcomes B, K & F!

lets see... We've been distributers for NGJ for a year or so. Just give-aways, not on a large scale. (we found NGJ when searching for other family magazines like Above Rubies). Then my DH saw a link earlier this year through something he is on, can't remember what.. to the critisims of NGJ because of that court case. In reading about that there was some comment like "His daughter and husband have dreams site and 7xSunday", meant as a criticism, but we thought WOW! fellowship! Came and looked at 7xs, checked it out for a month or so and decided to join. Its funny that the intended criticism led us to you.

It helped knowing your background through your extended family and your Rebekahs diary! You are my hero for handling those spiders on the ceiling with red dots on their backs! wonderful to be inspired by you and your hubby and family and your sisters as we raise our children! thanks! K

Hi I´m Zoe

Thank you for letting me join 7xsundays! I was reading here for a few months and my husband said I could register.

I learn a lot here, though I didn´t post a lot bc english is a foreign language for me and I don´t feel sure about it. So I hope I don´t make too much mistakes.

I´m 36 ys old, married for 20 ys, yes I was very young  back then, and we have two boys 16 an 18 ys old. I stay at home and my husband is a lawyer. We are catholic and live by the bible. The boys go to catholic schools and Iwe have my mother in law living with us bc she needs care 24 hours, so I´m a nurse too. My husband works al lot and I try to do my best to make him aa nice home where he feels loved and cared of. sometimes I feel a bit lonely bc the boys are almost grown up and we were not blessed with more children but maybe one day I´m going to be a grandmother, that will be wondeful!

Hi Zoe!  I am 36, almost 37, but I have been married only eight years, and I have three young children (almost 6, 3-1/2, and 17 months) and a baby on the way in August.  So even though we share an age, we are at very different stages of our lives.  I hope and pray you enjoy 7xS.  It is quite a wonderful place.  Smiley  It's neat to meet people of all different backgounds, cultures, etc.  Smiley

Bless you and welcome!!  Smiley

Welcome Zoe and learningdad/Lady.  It is nice to have you here.

LTRM- I didn't realize you were expecting again.  Your little boy is just a little younger than my youngest and my next is due the beginning of July- so they will be almost the same ages apart.  Hope your pregnancy is going well.
