Hi SeekingTruth and LearningLady,

So glad to hear about your pregnancies.  Mine is going pretty well, though my only issue right now is fatigue.  Working on that with as much natural and nutrition as I can.  Smiley

WOW, LL!!   Your last two are even closer than mine will be, but you have the same group - two and two, different order.  Mine are boy, girl, boy, girl.  Smiley  Isn't life busy, but fun??!!  Smiley

SeekingTruth, does it say #7?   Shocked WOW!!  Good for you.

This will probably be our last, but we are counting our blessings!!  Smiley

Blessing to all!!

Hi SeekingTruth and LearningLady,

Hi LtrM

Smiley Sorry, didn't mean to convey I was pregnant now. Not just yet, still lots of breastfeeding. Soon I hope, though!!

Smiley yes, such wonderful fun. Thats so special that you have 2 of each. its such a privilege! Our youngest 2 are actually 8 months apart as we adopted our 1yr old DS from birth. Its so great having them so close in age. They are so cute together. He talks to her and is so gentle with her and she loves to watch his antics  Cheesy

Yes, we currently have 6 girls- 11, 9, 7 on Thurs., 4, 3, 18 months.  It is definitely much easier when you have big helpers at home.  I think it was harder when I just had 3-4 little ones.  We can get in the van and I don't have to buckle any carseats, the bigs buddy with the littles, etc.  And I am almost to the point where the older can watch some littles at home.  They have done so occasionally for short periods of time.

So we are excited about a new little one.  Don't know what we are having and we have given up on trying to guess.  All of our girls names start with A so it is getting harder to come up with names that we like that aren't too close to the others.

But children are such a blessing.  They grow you in unimaginable ways!

You know, LL, I don't know what I was thinking.  I guess my brain (in all its gestational Alzheimer's mode LOL) just put in my brain that you were.  As I've gone back to read your previous post, I can see now that you are not.  Oh, how embarrassing for me. Cheesy Shocked
Hope all continues to go well with your little ones.

Not sure If I should wish for a boy or girl for you.  Either has plenty of pros and cons!  LOL   Cheesy  I will pray for health, well-being, and salvation at an early age.  I'm sure he or she will be a blessing for your family.  Smiley

Thank you very much for you warm welcome!
yes I married at 16 and today I think I was not mature enough to be a good wife to my husband at this time.
I behaved very childish sometimes and was overwhelmed from the responsibility then. But my husband helped me a lot
to find my way although he was upset with me a lot in the first times. His love and guidance was and is so wonderful and our marriage became a very happy one in a short time. But I needed his help and also the help of my parent and my mother in law. I donīt have a daughter, only two boys but my youngest is 16 and far away from marrying I must say.lol.
By the way my husband is 12 years older than me so this is good!

Seeking Truth, that is so wonderful to hear!! Thats exactly what I say to Moms with 2 little ones when they ask "How do you cope?" I tell them I think having 2 littlies is the most challenging time and adjustment, after that there are always older ones and its so much easier! Children are just wonderful. Funny, I dont think 4 is very many children at all, but most people do here , so they always ask Smiley

Would love to hear more about your family SC  Smiley

I hope I can learn some skills after I'm married. My future hubby can cook and doesn't mind my lacking skills, but I keep telling him someday he will get tired of doing hte cooking. hehe!
I was in Japan teaching at a preschool for three months. It was an amazing experience and one that was life changing. I learned so much! and the kids I taught were an absolute delight! I hope some day I can go back and teach again. I need to practice my Japanese!

Glad you enjoyed Japan so much.  My DH wants to take us there someday, as he served there during his time in the Marines.  Smiley

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials! ( Huh did I spell that right?  I need to look it up.)   Smiley

Hi Ashley,

Welcome to 7XS! This is my favorite cookbook, and it is great for beginners and old-timers in the kitchen. Never ran across a bad recipe in it:

Basics and More Cookbook

(for some weird reason it is 89$ on Amazon, but the above link is way cheaper)

Glad to have you on the forum!

Yup! You got it right.  Wink

I think that sometimes happens if it is being offered as a first edition. And then other times it seems to happen because someone took a crazy pill that morning.

Hi, everybody. My name is OvenPuffPancake because it is one of our family's favorite things that our daughter makes in the kitchen. After it bakes, you put just-cooked berries all over the top, and oh!

Just wanted to say that sohnnenstrahl, who has posted here before, is related to me. In a schizophrenic, and sometimes alter ego sort of way. Yeah.

So I needed to change my name on here, and had them cancel my account (sohnnenstrahl) so I could rejoin as OvenPuffPancake. Not to be mistaken for Huff&PuffHandshake, Rough&ToughFruitcake or Fluff&StuffSuitcase, okay? Those gals are great, but I'm not them. I'm just me. And me (sohnnenstrahl).

By the way. That cookbook Forevergirl recommends is awesome. We have it, too. Cinnamon rolls, chicken pot pie, wow.

See ya in the comment sections...

Hey everybody, I know this pancake person and I can vouch for the fact that she is at times a bit schizo but never fluff and stuff or huff and puff. We hang out at times and I never get confused. Here's an illustration for those of you that need pictures (like I do) in order to figure it out:

Welcome back, OvenPuffPancake. Hey, is that Oven Puff recipe in the Basic's and More Cookbook?

Sorry I didn't explain it well enough: I used to have the username sohnnenstrahl, and now have the username OvenPuffPancake. I had to change from sohnnenstrahl because I found out that my not-so-clever-after-all play on German words does not actually work that well in German. (Not that words have to be all work and no play.) It would if I were to remove one of the "n"s; however, I thought that might start to get confusing, so I went for something completely different.

I thought the alter ego talk was a cute way to explain that I'm the same fermented pineapple I always was, but apparently it caused more confusion than removing a letter from sohnnenstrahl. It's also possible that one more change would have to be made, and I had not yet investigated that when I began considering other names. Among the runners up for monikers were GooGooGums and Saved-A-Licious.

Our daughter really does make the OvenPuffPancakes, and we really do go completely nuts over them. The recipe is in the Betty Crocker New Cookbook.

Oh, I did read the rules before I rejoined. Which rule did I break?? Please instruct! I don't want to get kicked off of here!

And I really wasn't trying to make any inside joke; I thought "schizophrenic" and "alter ego" and "had them cancel my account (sohnnenstrahl)" would explain things. Please forgive any appearance of inside jokes!

you didn't confuse me at all...nor did you break any rules (that was my idea of a joke, because that's what SC lady often suggests to newcomers  Smiley)   As far the pineapple recipe.... I am making the recipe ( a slightly altered version) you posted in the wines and vinegars thread...  so no, there was not an inside joke, just my poor attempt at humor. Cheesy  Sorry to muddy the waters...
