Introduce Yourself!

Ummm.... hi, my name is... um, Rebekah Joy Anast...
And I'm so glad to be here!
I have a feeling this will be one of the most popular forums and just wanted to make sure I was the first to say so
I would like to meet some people - so tell me about yourself... who are you? Where are you from? How did you find out about 7XSunday? What else would you like to see on this site?
I am, btw, the wife of Gabriel Anast who is the chief admin. God gave us the cool job of starting 7xSunday! We live in Gallup New Mexico. We have three children; Joseph Courage (31/2, Ryshoni Joy 11/2, and Hannah Sunshine 3 mos. Gabe is (obviously) a web designer. I am wife, mommy, and writer for education magazines (in that order.)
So... introduce yourself.

Hi! I am so happy to be here. I too, think this will be quite the popular place, so I'd better get in all my opinions now before they get lost in amoungst the masses.
My name is Rie (from Marie)... actually my first name is Agatha
, but when I left home at 18, I decided to be my middle name. Now, I kind of like my first name, but it's too late to change back.
My husband, David, and I are recent transplants to Remond, WA, previously from TN, previously from NJ, previously from PA, previously from VA.
We've moved a lot! But we *love* WA! What beauty!
We have 5 kiddies... two boys and three girls. Gavin (6.5) gentle with a sensitive spirit; Caleb (7) such a helper, and kind ; Paris (5) artistic, graceful, and very very smiley; Haley (3.5) sensitive sweet, quiet natured; Evelyn (2) all over the place!!. Caleb was adopted from the country of Kazakhstan 1 year ago. Despite our horrible adoption process (in Kazakhstan for two months...originally supposed to be 3 weeks!), Caleb has been a delight to our family, and we've been amazed by the Lord's mercies to us concerning the whole thing.
My husband and I are sudo-musicians (meaning we don't read music), but we do write songs together. I play piano, my husband plays lots of things. Music is what brought us together initially...we met at a college coffee-house. He is working as a software programmer. I am mama and teacher (although they are inclusive, aye?)
to my little ones. As a side project, my husband and I are in the process of writing a scripture album that would appeal to both adults and children...using various passages in the Bible. It's slow in coming though because, well, we're busy with life! My other interests are animals, drawing, decorating, reading, and ebaying.
Happy to be here, looking forward to learning and growing with other Christian woman who desire to please the Lord.
Rie
Nice web forum set-up, by the way!

My name is Sara Dzimianski, and I feel priviledged to have been invited to become a part of this board.
I live in Northeast Georgia, near Athens. This is an absolutely beautiful part of the country... I can't believe that anyone would want to live in a desert like New Mexico
I can thank Steve Tallent for inviting me to join this site. I have yet to explore the site, so I don't really know what else I would want to see... I hope that we can become a close online fellowship and make the most of this opportunity to encourage one another and help one another to grow.
Other facts about me... hmmm... I guess I will reveal those later

I'm Jessi, from this currently beautiful winter wonderland called Michigan.
I believe I first learned about 7xSunday from Beka, trying to remember if it was Gabe or Beka who first mentioned it to me, I'm leaning towards Beka though!
I don't post too often on any site but I do enjoy reading and lurking around!

I am Scott, and my wife, who is also registered, is Arlene. We were referred to this site by a certain missionary who knows Gabe and Beka and has 7 children.
We have 4 kids so far and live in mountain west country (close to Canada). I once lived in Taos, NM and liked it very much. I've been to Gallup many times. Great mission field there in the Navajo Nation. God is definitely at work in some families I know out on the res. Also lived in Flagstaff, AZ - also Navajo country. Love it down there but love it where I am now.

Hey everyone,
I am under restriction from giving my name out by my parents, I am 17, and I live in Kentucky, I have been a Christian(though in name only for a few years) all my life, I have recently redevoted my life to Christ. I am trying my best to continually refine my beliefs and faith so that they may be as sharp as a razor. I wish to eventually become a Christian apologist of at least some ability, and enter the political scene(It is my far fetched dream to become president of the U.S.A one day
I love to sing, about Jesus especially, and was lucky enough to perform with my High School choir at Carnegy Hall. I also love war strategy, and strategy games, and books of all kinds, I am aslo an aspiring novelist and hope to have my first out before I am 19.

Welcome, Lydia!
7xsunday is still under construction and doesn't have much traffic lately. Gabe is overwhelmed with work right now so the development of 7xsunday has been shelved for a while. We are still looking for a good designer for the look of it, and some men to help govern the "church"ness of it. But you are welcome! If you don't find much interaction, try again every now and then and see if things have picked up. I still drop by every other day or so...
BTW - how did you find us?

Hello Everyone,
I'm Erin Lahey. Who I am is... lover of the Most High God, wife (of nearly eleven years!) to my amazing, handsome hunk of a husband, Jesse, and mother to our four fantastic, fun kids. After that... I *looooove* my "occupation" as a homemaker. I love to write and edit, as I did in my past life and still do some here and there in my present life, but I can think of nothing I'd rather be doing than keeping our home and raising our children. We teach them at home. We started schooling the oldest, nine- (almost ten-) year-old J.J. shortly after birth<grin>. He's about to enter fifth grade. We start school the second full week of July, and my oldest girl, Cecily, we then be in second grade, and Danny, the youngest boy (whose fifth birthday is today!! (~8 ) will begin *kindergarten*. Our youngest as yet, Betsy, is two ("I two! I two!") and is the funniest little thing! Well... they all are. We have a great time. Things we enjoy doing outside the sphere of day-to-day living are hiking the 1/4 mile down to the river to skip rocks, watch the herons, geese, etc..., look for crayfish or anything else. It's lovely down there. We also enjoy hiking in many of our areas fabulous metroparks, and when we get the chance, we love to travel around the country. We don't do a lot of that, though. Let's see... we are all bibliophiles. We have more books than you can shake a stick at (or that I can possibly house decently without library shelves) -- I'm shameless about collecting classics and good biographies and so forth at garage sales, thrift stores and half.com or ebay (although I'm also ruthless about not having "twaddle" amoung our books and believe the only book worth reading is a truly good book.) Personally, I'm also an 'organizing'-fiend ... clutter drives me crazy, and I love to do home projects that increase our enjoyment, and the utility of, our home. I'm sure I could come up with more, but I'll stop with that. As for how we found 7xSunday, my husband was trying to find some of Gabe's sites and this one popped up. Later, Beka encouraged me to go ahead and post. Hopefully traffic will pick up. I'm pleased to see this kind of forum! Best to all and looking forward to sharing ideas! Erin

I'm 21, saved for 2-1/2 years, and working at a Training Center (IBLP). I'm the fourth of eight kids, third of five daughters. I like the color pink, sewing, and making desserts. Someday I'm going to Africa.

Hello! I am so excited to find this site.
I am 28, married for 9 years to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 children and are expecting a 3rd this summer. My days are spent homeschooling my sweeties, tending to things on our small farm, and occasionally doing a bit of freelance writing.

Welcome ladies!
Please feel free to start new topics and chat with each other. If you would, also pray for 7xsunday. We would really love to finish it out, and see it become a place where believers around the world can fellowship, and searchers can find Jesus. We pray daily for;
1) laborers. The site needs "elders."
2) design and completion. The look of the site is a totally generic one thus far. And there is much more that needs to be developed; articles archives, audio teachings, study helps, and so much more.
Thanks!

Well, it's only been a whole summer since anyone posted here, but hopefully all ya'll that are already here are still here...just gone fishing, I think someone said...
My name is Kim and this is my husband Stan...that sounded weird; it is usually the other way around. Anyway, he is an electrician here in the Tidewater area, at least for now. He just purchased our very own laundry facility and is hoping to expand that endeavor and be able to give more of his time and energy to our little ones. I just stay home and read No Greater Joy online all day. (OK just at night. I usually only do this stuff when everyone is asleep or when I am taking care of the littlest) No, really....I am mommy to 4...no, 5 little people (still getting used to that!) Elisabeth Grace is 9, Zechariah David is 7, Bethany Joy is 4, Josiah Daniel is 3, and Baby ChloeAnna Faith (that was a fun Bible name to figure out) is 3...no, 4 months old now. My, how time flies when they are little! On top of being MOOOOOM, I am our church's pianist and music coordinator.
I started keeping the two oldest home with me for school 2 years ago after finding several issues of No Greater Joy in a bunch of papers that my mom had given me. That has been......fun? interesting? AAAAHHH! A blast, really! Actually, all those at the same time!
I found this forum last night when I saw the note re: internet passwords and the onlinesight.com site. I sat and read alot of the posts right away, and I feel like I already kinda know ya'll a little bit. I have LOTS OF QUESTIONS and need LOTS OF HELP so I look forward to reading more of ya'll's thoughts and ideas on lots of subjects! The most current need being to find a way to keep track of SOCKS for all these folks around here....
See Ya'll!

Hi there! My name is Leah. I am a saved believer in Jesus since 2001. I am wife to Ken and mom to Kenny (11), Kyle (9), Kaitlyn (9), and Kevin (almost 3). We have a small farm in northern IL where we raise our children and a few animals as well
We were saved through Mr. Pearl's bible tapes and have been hoping to find somewhere to fellowship where we could continue to learn, but alas...our search has been in vain so far. So we stay home and raise our kids and be together and listen to tapes and talk. We don't necessarily feel the need to go to a building to worship, but we have felt a desire to talk to other believers in order to stay strong in what we know to be the truth.
I love to read and write and work in the garden. I love to mess around in the kitchen and try out new ways of cooking. So far I have learned to cook wheat free, dairy free, sugar free...if I could only learn how to cook just plain old FREE I'd be really happy
I also enjoy figuring out ways of saving money and cutting my grocery budget.
Hm..what else..
We homeschool our kids, but I am not much for books. I mean school books. My kids are all readers and will spend hours with their noses buried in whatever it is they dragged home from the library. I am always in search of good things for them to read or for me to read to them out loud. Pretty difficult when most of what is offered to young adults these days deal with witchcraft and other supernatural stuff..but still, I am finding that they have a nose for what is garbage and what is ok. Besides reading, we spend time writing and drawing and just hanging around together. Sometimes I panic thinking "I am not doing enough school!" but then I come back to my senses
Anyway, that's me. I am looking forward to meeting all of you!!
In Jesus,
Leah

Welcome, Leah!
I had to smile reading your post ... I could almost see myself in there! If you're looking for a good list of witchcraft-free reading materials, you might try a google search of "Charlotte Mason Reading Lists" or try "Sonlight Reading List". Of course, you'll probably want to take a look at any selections yourself, too, to make sure they jive with what you're teaching your kids, but I've printed off a couple different Charlotte Mason style lists and keep them in my library bag. They're divided by grade level (I don't let that put us in a box, but it's a good starting point) and we just keep getting out new books that are on the lists, and we frequently re-visit favorites. So far I haven't run across any that I've found offensive, although when my kids foray off the reading list it seems a lot more common for someone to pick up a book that looks interesting to them but that has bad content - so those get put back on the shelf. The more classic style booklists seem to have older books on them ... ones that have been around since before I was born. You can also check out the thread we have on the forum called "Books" (I think). Several folks gave lists of some of their favorites. I think it's under "Homeschooling."
Cheers!

Hi everyone. I'm Cinnamon (37)..........Wife to John 19 yrs, Mama to 8 kiddos : Garrett (17), Gavin (11), Gunnar (9), Grace (
, Gage (7), Gladys (5), Gaela (4) and Gianna (2). We live in Central California and are currently on the look out for a new state to live in. My husband is a all around fix it man who has saved us more money than I can count by doing it himself. He is a General Building Contractor and builds beautiful things out of hunks of wood, including houses :-)
We home schooled our children for 11 yrs then put them all in public school this past year. I'm glad the year is almost over. I've learned many new things about my kids by observing them in school. It's been interesting.
We have a very active life, lots of noise at most any time of the day, starting at 5:45am when our lamb starts *calling* for food clear through midnight when the last light goes out, usually mine, I'm a night owl.
I heard about this site through WellTellMe. Both great sites and I'm thoroughly enjoying reading all the posts.

Hello
I'm Jessica. I'm 26 years old. I'm not married but hope to be someday! I'm currently learning to accept ALL things joyfully!! God has my good in mind! What a hard lesson to learn for me to continue to learn!! I grew up as SUCH a pouter and pessimist!!
I've been a nurse for nearly 4 years. I work the night shift in a large hospital on a medical cardiology floor. The patient population is very diverse. I am very grateful for my experiences and all I've learned!!
I live with my parents & my younger brother (13). I have an older younger brother (24) who is living with near Boston for work and school. I am happy to have the opportunity to be close to my brothers.
I keep busy at church helping in youth group and teaching 1st & 2nd grade Sunday School. This past September-May our church offered English as a Second Language to the community & I had fun teaching & helping in those classes. I also recently got back from a one-week missions trip to Guatemala working in schools doing dramas and testimonies. We plan to go to Romania in August of 2007 and work in orphanages!
I like music (play the piano and the guitar a bit), learning about natural remedies (I found out about this site through welltellme.com which I found out about nogreaterjoy.com), being outside (it's FINALLY spring here!), learning Spanish (it is a goal of mine to be fluent), and mint chocolate chip ice cream with peanut butter sauce.

Hi everyone!
My name is Dawn. That is why my screen name is Sonbeam. It is spelled that way on purpose. I have been home schooling for 5 years now. When we started, my children and I wanted something to call ourselves, and since we are a Christ centered family, we wanted our name to reflect that. We settled on Dawn's Sonbeams and adopted "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" as our school song. They love the double entendre.
I am a mother of four. Avonlea (14), Lizzie (12), Cyrus (4), and Shanden (2). Two girls and two boys. My husband and I are praying for another. My hubbie's name is Michael. I am very blessed to be married to such a wonderful man! He is a hard worker and takes good care of his family. He allows me to stay at home and school our children. I have heard other women's husbands say they expect their wives to get out and work. My husband is a good Christian man who understands that there is no work more important than taking care of our family. He's smart too! Enough bragging.
We attend a local church and are involved in working with the teens. We have lots of fun! I also love flowers! My husband says if I keep planting flowers he won't have any yard left to mow. I have a garden. We just ate the first batch of squash the other night. I learned how to do canning last Fall. I put up some pear butter. I hope to be able to can some of my veggies this year. Anyway, that's me and my family.
I think that this site is great! I look forward to meeting everyone and talking with you all!
Love in Christ,
Dawn

Hey there! I am Lynelle aka momofmany. I am 48 yrs.old, and have been married to my sweetie for TWENTYNINE YEARS!!! YIPPIE!! He is waaaay better than I deserve.... We live in SW VA. in the foothills of the blueridge. We live in a 150 yr.old farmhouse on 10 acres. Right now the only thing that we are raising are kids- the two legged ones. Sweetie and I are the proud parents of: DD-28 married and getting ready to take her exam that will get her into law school, DD 24 married (just this past Nov. 05) busy being a sweet wife to her DH, DS 16- still a man in the making, but turning out to be a mighty fine one! He can do anything, and I am not bragging
. We are also foster parents to three little blessings (well they are right now because they are in bed!) FS 5, FD 4, FS 6 mos. The boys are 1/2 sibs and the girl is unrelated. We have had the 6 mo. old since he was born. He came to us at 5 days old from the hospital, so to him we are "mama and poppa" Hence the name "momofmany." We have been foster parents since last July and we have had a total of 9 kiddo's. We are actually foster to adopt, and will be starting the process for the 4 yr old. We are waitng and praying for the boys....
My hobbies are all on hold right now. I don't have TIME to do anything else but watch the kiddo's, trying to train them to obey takes work and diligence, and creativity since we have limited consequence "resources." But repitition deepens the impression so we go over things a lot.
Looking forward to being a part of this neighborhood.......

we live in middle ga and i love it here! always something fun to do.
i love bluegrass music, meeting strangers and striking up bizarre conversations, picking up free stuff off the side of the road and fixing it up (much to my children's embarrassment), ANYTHING about childbirth, traipsing around to festivals and picnicing. i love my granny and dream of visiting spain and having espresso in an outdoor cafe with some wise wrinkled lady who will tell me a secret she has never shared with another, just because i am a stranger.
i am a dreamer, a bit strange and i love life. i am married to mr command and i try him on a daily basis.
he keeps me from selling our earthly possessions and moving to the mountains and making soap for a living.
i came here from welltellme. love those vitamins!

Hello,
I think we could become good friends
I am about to give my introduction so I wont say too much about myself here. But I wanted to say that I do desire to have fellowship like you are looking for. I have looked for it all over the web and I sure hope I have found it here. So far the topics and threads seem to be what I have been looking for

OK, I guess a little bit about me... I am 24 (or will be on May 20th). I have been married for almost four years to my very favorite person in the whole world. His name is Rob. We have two beautiful children, our daughter Ryan who turned 3 on the 2nd, and our son Aidan who will be 2 in July.
I can't resist responding to this. I have a friend with a SON, Ryan, and a DAUGHTER, Aidan.
I'll introduce myself some other time. The boys are playing football in the living room and I need to make sure they moved some stuff out first!

Hello!!
I am a stay at home mom of 3, Tristan-8, Trinity-4 and Kaylyn is 2. I have homeschooled Tristan from the beginning and I enjoy it very much!
I have a WONDERFUL husband Josh whom I absolutely adore. I am 27 and a (aahhemm) little older than Josh! He's 25!
We live in Moriarty, New Mexico and Josh works in Albuquerque for a cabinet company making cabinets.
So we are not that far from Gallup. I have been there only once as a teenager. My church at the time did VBS for a church there in Gallup and we drove around inviting the children on the reservations to VBS and then picking them up and dropping them off daily. SO we were seed planters if nothing more and I REALLY loved it! It was HOT there as I recall and BEAUTIFUL at the same time! We saw the Indian dances and were actually invited to dance in a friendship dance.
Anyways.. I'm really glad I found this place!

Hey, looks like a lot of us are coming from welltellme.com! I am enjoying reading all the post that I can. Hoping to learn and share! I am 34 and I have been married to my dear hubby for 16, almost 17 years. We have four boys 16, 14,11, and 8 years and we homeschool. Right now we live in Southern Louisiana but have a real desire to move to Arkansas or Missouri soon! Just waiting for that door to swing open.
Well, ladies I am looking forward to getting to know you all better.
Blessings,
Deanna

Hello, I am Kelly, I just found this site through Well tell me. I have enjoyed what I have read very much on this site and WTM.
My husbands name is Scott, we've been married for 9 years and have two wonderful kids, Scotty (7) and Ella (5). We homeschool, which I enjoy very much.
We live in Zanesville, Ohio, but have only been here for 6 months. Before that we lived in Kentucky, Virginia, Kentucky, Colorado, West Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. lol.
I am trying to start a photography business, but it seems right now, I cant even PAY anyone to let me take there pics. LOL. Scott is always encouraging, though, and tells me that business will pick up.
Our favorite time of every other month is when NGJ comes in the mail. We both laugh over it and cry over it. We wish our parents had it and we learn so much every time.
Anyway, that's about all I can think of to tell about myself. I'll probably learn more on this site and WTM than I can offer back. lol.

Hello, My name is Darryl. I live in VA. My wife's name is Christina. We have an 8 month old daughter named Ikia. Her name means God is my salvation. She can wave, pull herself up, and say mama and daddy
. I heard Mike Pearl say something about this site maybe a few months ago, but I registered after I had read about it on welltellme. We do not attend a weekly church presently so this website has already been a blessing to me.
I like to lift weights and play basketball when I have the time.
I love the book of Hebrews.
I so look forward to the day when my kids can put me in a headlock
.
