I remember the book of Hebrews had some verses (6th & 10th chapter) that scared me, but after studying it and seeing what was being said it made sense. The Word of God is alive. I did not understand salvation till i started reading the Bible for facts instead of some kind of "favor to God". I remember when I came to the knowledge of the truth through the scriptures. I asked God to confirm what I was learning because it was different than what I had been taught. Not long after that I heard the imputed righteousness tape by Mike. I will admit when I first heard Mike teach I thought he could not be right with God because he was not yelling at me.
One day my sister was asking me if she was going to hell. At the time she was a Sunday school teacher and had made a profession of faith, but did not underestand the Gospel. I shared the Gospel with her without all the other stuff we had been taught, and after I got done she began to weep and she looked up and said "God is sooo good". At the time I was just then coming to understand the Gospel myself. The book of Hebrews makes the Gospel so clear and when I see all the truth in it I have to say "God is sooo good".

  Roll Eyes Hi Everyone,

My name is Jamie, I am 23 years old and I recently moved from Northern California where i was going to school, back in with my parents and 3 brothers to northwest Wisconsin. We found out about Created to Be His Helpmeet from one of those homeschool curriculum packets (which we *never* open btw) and from there were introduced to NGJ, thebulkherbstore, beeyoutiful, welltellme, and finally this forum. I have been very much encouraged by much of what I have read so far and I am looking forward to being a contributing member of this community! Nice to meet you all! God Bless!

Hello all!  My name is Heather and I am so excited to have found this forum. Grin  A little about me...I am married to my very best friend, Tommy, for 11 years now.  We have an awesome marriage (thanks in part to NGJ) and God just continues to bless us daily!!!  We have 4 sweet babies.  Katelyn is 9, Kaesey is 7, Noah is 5 and Joshua is 2.  We would love to have more and are currently praying that God will bless us again soon. Wink  We are a homeschool family.  We have been homeschooling since our oldest was born!  We mainly use Rod and Staff, and Pathway for our curriculum, but we probably use the library more than anything else.  I love to sew and am teaching my girls and of their friends to sew.  They have been making aprons, and doing a fine job!  My sweetheart works very hard and sometimes very long hours.  He runs a disaster restoration company.  He was a youth pastor but resigned his position not too long ago.  We have been church "shopping" on and off, but we also homechurch.  I really enjoy homechurch because I LOVE to hear my sweetheart teach from the word of God.  Thanks to Michael Pearl's bible tapes, we are freed from sin!!  Praise the Lord!!  Ummm, that is all I can think of right now. Cheesy

Wow, I feel like an oldie seeing all the younger women who have posted!I praise the Lord for all the young mommies who are staying home with little ones,we are building a future of soul winners!I am 46, extremely happily married toRoger and we have 6(hoping for 7) children. There just doesn't seem to be many churches out there that follow what the word of God really sais so we have been churching at home and visiting churches trying to find a home church in our area. So, I love finding this site.NGJ has helped our marriagebe blessed and our little ones better trained and we love the Bible lessons tapes. We homeschool, are always looking for others to talk about and praise God with.Glad to meet all of you.

Hello All!  This is a great site!!  I'm so glad to be getting to know you all from your posts.  I just joined a few days ago.  My husband is Adam Peterson and I am Holly.  We have two girls:  Kara, age 2, and Leah, age 8 months.  We are from Massachussetts, but now reside in KY because Adam is in the Army (hooah!).  We have a dog, Honey, and a bunny named Hop.  We love outdoors stuff, camping, cookouts, swedish apple pie and ice cream, volleyball, climbing trees (my husband and I have been climbing trees together since we were like 11), oh yeah, playing with our kids!!  The girls are so fun, and they play like boys.  They are both so tough and love to climb, and Kara will climb on top of the dog house and grab a branch in front of it and jump off and swing from the branch.  Maybe it's because she's my first, but I was amazed. She also loves baby dolls and tea sets though, so there's hope yet!  Adam is into bow hunting and my hobby right now has been nutrition but then all of the sudden I fell in love with Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  So everything else is kind of taking a backseat right now Grin.  And besides that, I think my husband wants to teach me about bow hunting as he learns it.  If he asks me to go with him, I'll be posting a prayer request... Tongue  We're also learning about homeschooling and I'm beginning to implement little things with my two year old... all of life is learning so why not take advantage?  She counts really well.  She points to everything she is counting and says in a singsongy voice "dee, two, dee, dee, eight, dee, dee!" ending off in a very high pitch!  My eight month old is great.  She's been top fat to do very much until recently she finally learned to sit herself up and stand holding onto things.  Still doesn't get the crawling thing though.  She's my little bear cub.  She growls when she's happy.  Oh, the joys.... because Adam is in the Army (hooah!).

The hooah made me smile. It is actually a Marine thing from Vietnam.  My husband worked with a man named, Jock, who just recently retired.  He was also a marine during Vietnam.  His infantry was the one that started that whole yelling thing.  Just thought it was an interesting bit of history that I thought  I would share with you.

Hmm, I guess I never introduced myself here! I'm Kate, age 28,  wife to Hugh, mommy to Jarvis, 3.5 years and Linus, 18 months. I am hankering after another! We just bought our first home a few blocks from my Mom and Dad so that makes me really happy :-) We live in the Midwest, in Indiana. I stay at home with our boys and I'm getting ready to start babysitting to bring in some extra $. I love cooking, writing, reading, film, music, making collages. I am going to teach myself to sew soon, and hopefully my mom will finally teach me to knit and crochet. I've been going off and on to Calvary Chapel for years. We have a church full of nice people people. I have a wonderful circle of friends that are really into nutrition, homebirth, herbs, and the Pearls (haha...I always feel like I am talking about MAJOR CELEBRITIES) I love spending time with family and fixing up my house.

Hello.  My name is Andrea and I'm mommy to 3 little boys ages 6, 4 and 20 months with another baby due in December.  I'm a stay at home mom and wife to Brett who is a Police Officer.
We live on an acre in northwest Montana about 20 minutes from Glacier Park so you can imagine the beautiful views!!  We are wannabe homesteaders and currently have 7 goats, 3 pigs, 10 turkeys, 25 chickens and recently retired our rabbits.  We have a huge vegetable garden, berry patch and are in the middle of planting a mini orchard.  It is my husband's dream to be able to sustain our family almost entirely out of what we grow on our little patch of heaven  Grin  and if we can make an income off of it eventually, then even better!
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at officially starting to homeschool my 2 older boys this fall so I'm sure you'll be hearing from me quite a bit with my many questions  Roll Eyes
It's very nice to meet you all!

May I ask where your daughter's name originates?  It is really unusual....Ryshoni?  Thanks!

Ryshoni is Hebrew. It means "first, primary, initial" It is the word attached to the biblical term, "First fruits, that which is belonging to the Lord."

When I was pregnant with Ryshoni, we were on the edge of bankruptcy, shame and ruin... Gabe felt like God promised us that Ryshoni was to be the first fruit of a new era of blessing in our lives. Our first business totally failed soon after she was born, but God's blessings had just begun...

Ryshoni Joy means "First Joy."

thanks for asking...

Hi  I really feel old  Roll Eyes   I'm 58~~~married for 32 years to my wonderful visionary man.   Wink   We have 5 wonderful children DD 26, DS 23, DS 20. DD 17, DD 14.  Live in the far north of Minnesota where it is COLD in the winter.  We are 3 miles from the Canadian border.  We have homeschooled since day one.  That was many years ago~~~about 20 I guess.   I am so blessed to have had my children home with us so long.  Our boys are the only ones gone at present, oldest is in South Korea in the Army.  Second son is about 5 hours from home in tech school.  I am not at all ready for any of them to be gone.  Enjoy their company so much.
We live on about 2 acres, grow most of our own food, have a couple of chickens, 2 horses (the girls) and 2 goats (also the girls.)  There are numerous cats and kittens and a dog.  We have had pigs, ducks, and guinea hens.   All a learning experience,  as is all of life.  What an adventure with our Father!
It is so encouraging to see young families homeschooling, Mom staying home, and training their children to love the Lord.
Found the site through WellTellMe.  I play piano, read, crochet and love being with my family.
God Bless and hope to get to know all of you better.

I live in Bolivar Ohio. I am a proud papa of 4: Rachel Ann (5), Elijah Ray (4), Shekinah Glory (2), Samuel Judah (8 months). Satisfied husband of Samantha (married 6 years). I am 36 and she is 26.

I sell paint full-time. Samantha works 16 hours a week at Wal-Mart. We have had all our kids at home. I delivered Elijah by myself. We were in SC and our midwife (Freida Miller) was in Ohio. We plan on homeschooling all of them.

I was a miserable Christian for 8 years until I heard Michael Pearl's teaching on Romans 6. And now I am free indeed!!!

My wife and I have had a hard time finding people to fellowship with. We are either way too conservative or way too liberal. Go figure!

Hi All!  My name is Cara and I live in northern Minnesota - basically the middle of nowhere.   Smiley  I am 26 and live at home with my parents and sisters.  My two brothers have more or less started their own lives and are off - so sad.  While I have great fun with my sisters, I miss having my brothers around to balance us out.
Anyway - the short version of my life is that I gave my life to God when I was wee.  And have been learning more about the real meaning of surrender ever since.  My parents have homeschooled all of us, and when I was "finished" with the required learning process I was content to wait at home for God to bring my husband along.  A year and a half after I finished highschool I said "never" about attending college .  .  .  and nine months later I was going through the registration process at a small Christian college just across the Canadian border.  (Having listened to my parents' stories about saying "never" you would have thought I'd have known better. Tongue)  God opened doors so I could learn - and then having studied for three years, He opened more doors that allowed me to teach here at home.  It was always my intention to move back home after school - a choice most of my friend still don't understand.  My wonderful parents gave me the guestroom in the back of our house as a studio and I've been teaching ever since.  I love my job, even though it presents many daily challenges.   Smiley  I started my very youngest student this week (three years old) and spent most of our lesson wondering what on earth I'd gotten myself into!
I'm still waiting for my husband, although the waiting gets harder with each birthday I see instead of easier.  I'm a work in progress and oh so grateful He doesn't wait until I'm pefect to love me!

I've been very encouraged by the issues of No Greater Joy that come to my mum's mail box and was rather excited when she told me about this website.  Thank you so much, Gabe and Rebecca, for putting the time and effort into this.
God bless,

My name is Becky, and I'm now from Tenn.  I used to live in Fl and NC  Smiley
I'm 29 and still learning when it comes to submitting (really boogered up last night and am still trying to mend this morning Sad)  I have 3 beautiful spirited children.  Ayla will be 6 next week, Randy is 4 and Sara just turned 1 this month.  This is also my first year homeschooling, and thought I have a degree in Elementary Education, I'm finding it diffiult to homeschool at times.  We just moved to Tn this year in January, My husband, David, was saved in March, and now we have 20 chickens, a kitten, a puppy, and 2 goats.  BOY has a lot happened this year!  I play piano for assisted living, sing in the choir here, and occasionally sing specials with my parents or the ladies group.  I also love to sign, study natural health, read, and dabble in crafts.  Can't sew a lick though I  have tried LOL.  Music is a passion and a vice to me LOL (a vice because I love variety).

HI, I'm 30 and I live in a semi-rural part of California. I am married to a wonderful mr.steady who is that best man in the whole world. ( at least, in my humble opinon!) We married at 21, and he went straight into a really vigorous college program that lasted 2 years. After that, he took a little time off, and went back to college for most of his 20's. God has blessed us soooooooo much. Everytime we have needed something, he provides it with the limited amount of money that we have. Last spring, we were blessed with the most beautiful home addition that we could have asked for. It was the result of about 5 months of prayers, and searching the town ( and part of this country!) for another home. God gave us a wonderful christian contractor who blessed and blessed us.

We have 3 wonderful sons. They are 5 1/2, 3 1/2, and 10 months. I never had a brother-- in fact, I am practically an only child because my sister is 9 years older than me! The " boy" thing is totally new to me......... God is teaching me every day........... I love my boys like crazy! They are all different, and each of them adds a unique element to our family.

Having 3 boys and homeschooling almost makes us poineers in our family...........Niether of us were homeschooled, and most of our extended family stopped having kids at 2. We both came from wonderful loving families, but our parents raised us more in the " mainstream" type of life.  I feel like God is guiding us and stretching us everyday. It's amazing. I love our life, and I know that God is going to fill in all the questions and all the concerns I have if I keep seeking him. Being a SAH, homeschooling mom is the hardest, most fufilling job I've ever had. Smiley

I do hope to have another baby ( or adopt) someday * I think*....... and the prospect of adding another child to this family scares me to death........... But God is always in control, and he has shown me this over and over this past year. It's been a year of many many changes that were completely out of our control, but God has shown himself to be faithful..........

I want to thank all of you for joining me in this journey and answering all of my questions...........

God bless all of you. Smiley
