Praying for you....

I am really struggling right now and could use the strentgh of everyone's prayers.  I feel like our family is being ripped apart at the foundation.    I need strength and wisdom, so much wisdom and direction.

And no I am not dealing with baby blues

Please pray for my sister today, her divorce lawyer sent paperwork to her house and he got it while she was at work.  He's violent (why she's divorcing him).  I don't know what's going on right at the moment, just know that she called our Aunt for help and there is family on their way there now to help her and the baby get out safely.

Just got a call, the baby is out of the house and with an Aunt, apparently my Sis and BIL are on their way to the lawyer's office together. Thank God everyone's safe.

I have a quick request...

My mom is taking my Grandfather to the Dr. today. He has had an itchy rash over much of his body for some time now. They have been to the dermatologist, with no results. They have been trying an natural allergist since the fall, also with no results. The've tested for food allergies, chemical allergies, his soap, detergent, mold issues, dust, parasites, etc. Nothing seems to help. His foods are so limited that he is losing weight, which is not good. 

Lately, things have gotten worse. He is desperate. Mom is desperate to help him. Pray that they would find the real cause today, so that he would find relief. My mom feels responsible to help him and find an answer. Pray that she would be relieved of the stress of the day. Pray that God would bring healing.

Hi Sweet E,

Just a thought.......GMO foods will cause skin conditions like this in some people.  I'm sure you probably know  (eveyone is so knowledgable on here!) but GMO's are in almost all processed foods.  It can be hidden in the label with other names.  Most all of the corn and soy used in this country is genetically modified. 

You can get the GMO's by eating meat or drinking milk if the cows were fed GMO grain too, and so many other ways.  The safest thing to do for awhile is to not eat ANY processed foods at all.

Two years ago around Christmas time I was not careful with my foods and broke out in a rash/hives for the first time in my life.  I rarely go to the dr. but had to go to the hospital for this and the nurse said it was the worst she had ever seen.  It took a couple of months to completely get it out of my system.  I finally traced it to the HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) that was in something I had eaten during that time.   That is something that I usually don't touch.  (But it was sooooo good, know what I mean?  )

Just thought I would mention it, because I don't use many of the things that you mentioned he doesn't use either (chemicals, soap, detergent, etc.)  I don't know if GMO's come up on a food allergy test.

I will be praying that they find an answer today at the Dr.  It does sound really frustrating.

Hi Ladies, I'm asking that you all pray as you think of us this week.
 We will be going on another business  trip with Dh,  this time to the St. Louis area.   
It  is so nice that we homeschool and can just carry the books with us.  So, we do school and play while he is at meetings then when he gets to the room we get out for a little.  We've done this a few times but I am still not use to it and really need a better system for packing our stuff.

We have just returned and the trip was restful and uneventful just like I like um.LOL  Thank you Beth to all who prayed.

I must ask for another request though.  While on the trip my DH found out there is a position opening up in Japan again and his hearts desire is to go so he will be pulling all the strings he can to get there in Feb.    Just pray that God will have HIS will in when and if and where we move next.

wow...Japan... that would be an adventure! Are you excited about this? I think I would be as long as I got to go! I pray for the Lord's will. If you do go this verse helped me when we moved to a state where we knew no one! It can be scary.

Dh found out today that he got his hearts desire...Japan.  So, we have much to do to prepare for this move. The kids do not know how they feel yet and me either to be honest.  I do want the Lords will and prayed for that so I have to trust and obey and keep on trusting and obeying every step of the way.

I had a dream last night that Dh and I were looking for a home and then I was in a room with all of the women of both sides of our family without Dh.  They were angry that we were moving once again....telling me that we are selfish for moving the children and do not take their feelings into consideration when we move...bla bla bla.
I calmly explained to the women that this is just how our family is and that it is no different than a circus family that moves around with the circus but makes their home anywhere together.  LOL I had to wonder why I used a circus analogy to discribe us in my dream. LOL
Anyway, I woke up and went about the morning when Dh called with the news.  The dream came back to my mind and I had the same calm and peace that I did in the dream.    I told Dh about my dream and said that yeah, he knows that he will not be our moms favorite person for a while.

Please continue to pray as God leads you for us in this their are still certain clearances that need to happen in order for this to go through.  Thank you!

Wow... so nice the Lord gave you a dream to prepare you. He's so good to us. I'll be praying.... I'm a gramma so I know the feeling of grandchildren moving away. But then we moved away from my parents when the children were teenagers too. My parents didn't really want us to go either!
One thing I did to try and make it better was, I call often, I would say once a week. Sometimes not that often but close.
Right now our son and dil and children are in TX so we miss them terribly. But they call too and let our grandbaby girl call. She's quite the talker. Don't understand a great deal of it but she jabbers away. Fun!
You may not be able to call that often. But maybe you could use Facebook as a way to stay in touch. I know not everyone likes it but I have found for us it is a way to stay in touch with family! You can post pictures of your children and such. My dil does and I so appreciate that.
I do hope you have a wonderful adventure... remember God is with you withersoever you go!

Hey folks...

Begging your prayers for my life, lol.  Ahhh... I have a decision upcoming about the internship opportunity I've mentioned in Headship of father to daughter: Practical application. And though my Dad has given me good advice, I know he will ask me at the end of the day, "What do you want to do?" And I don't really know. There are so many things to consider... and it's at times like this I realize that God isn't remotely close to a vending machine. (Obviously...) I can't wait until I don't know what to do and then send in a request to know his will. If I knew Him better, I would know... and this is what bothers me the most.

I don't know what I'm getting at, other than I covet your prayers. I'm asking (pleading, really...) for God to close the door in my face if it is not something that He has for me.
I'm dull of hearing, poor of sight, and a babe in arms to my own shame, but surely He will lead me. I really need an answer soon. It's funny in a way that I have never met one of you... and yet I feel I need your agreement in prayer with me. More than anything, I don't want to step outside my place of blessing, but I also don't want to miss something awesome because I was afraid...  You get the idea...

- for dh to get back to work soon
- or for me to find a full-time job soon (if having rolls reversed, me working & dh staying home, is really what the Lord wants)
- for me not to get bitter/angry again with my dh....it's been over a year since he was laid off, and things are starting to get hard for me again...patience/understanding/trust/etc are getting hard to hold on to and old feelings creep back in sometimes
- for me to keep my eyes on God and know that He alone is my provider
- of course, for our finances/bills
- for both my & my dh's spiritual growth

She was trying to ride it out until baby came to treat it,  but was unable. Many mixed emotions involved in this, but we are trusting God and leaning on the everlasting arms!! Pray for the baby, for her peace, for her health.....

I need prayer and encouragement today and in the future weeks.  My mom is here visiting and I am being stretched to my limit.   I do not feel as though I can keep it together.
  She has a bad knee, my brother has multiple health problems including psychosis and seizures, my Dh is getting jealous of my time with them, my children are pushing their limits with me, mom is undermining my authority and criticizing my Dh for being rude and treating me and the kids badly.  

I was on my face this morning crying out to God for help.  For helping me to not be over sensitive toward my Dh by allowing my feelings to be hurt easily (he has not been himself)  I usually have a thick skin but it has been weakening.  Also,  for the Lord to give me much wisdom and guide me in the spirit to have the right responses in action and word toward all in the home.  That I will be strengthened to seek Him moment by moment and to not lose Joy nor the peace in my home.

Also, could ya'll please pray for me & my dh?  It could be hormones or maybe lack of sleep talking, but I'm just soooooo discouraged......discouraged especially with dh.  I know it's not a good place for me to be, so pray for me.  However, I feel dh needs prayer too....because I don't know much longer we can go on like this.  I don't want to have a gripe session, nor is it my intent to lay blame on dh, but I really feel that he may not be taking his provider role as seriously as he should.  I'm not sure if it's wise to give details or not...but in a nutshell, it's about finances....jobs....spending habits & decisions....we are just in such a big hole, I see no hope of ever getting out....especially if dh keeps on the same path he is currently on.  I could be wrong, though....God obviously can see more of the picture than I can....so hopefully I am wrong....it's just that it's been over a year, and it's getting worse, and it's getting hard for me to remain at peace with the situation.  So pray for me to hang on....to hang on to hope, to hang on to my trust in God, to hang on to my respect/support for dh (even when it feels like there is nothing to support/respect).  Pray for me & pray for my dh.  Thank you.
