[Moderator's Note This thread exists as the result of merging several other prayer request threads dealing with health related issues. If you have a prayer request regarding a health-related issue, this is the place to post.]
We just got word that my Father-in-law had a heart attack and passed away. PLEASE I am begging you to pray for this family. He was not saved, and my husband is distraught over this, beyond words. Pray that my husband will lead others in the family to Christ through or in the time after this horrible event. I know that will help him. Please pray that God's will is done in what is to come, and that the family will be okay. I'm just in shock right now. Thank you.......

One of my son's therapists asked that I join her in prayer for this young man. He is 15 (I think) and is dealing with a reoccurance of cancer. This time, it is assaulting his brain. He has already lost some function. They are transfusing him and administering other treatments in order to get him healthy enough to withstand further cancer treatments. Please remember this family, praying for his health.

Thank you 1jammy and others who prayed for this request. I saw the therapist today and she told me that the young man died. His parents sent a note that said the prayers for healing had been answered. What a sweet and blessed hope we have -- especially in these dark valleys.

I wanted to ask you to be in prayer. My littlest one doesn't seem to be himself today. I noticed yesterday that he woke up from his nap tired and fell asleep again in the living room. This morning, he's wanted to be held a lot and just laid belly down on the kitchen floor. He doesn't seem warm, just really, really tired. I asked his brother if he saw him fall or something, but he doesn't know. Zech isn't able to really tell me what's going on, so I need wisdom and he needs to feel better. Please pray. Thanks

Jenn, I'm praying. JUST this morning I was thinking on Jesus' words.....'Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.' Wow. What mercy! Your FIL is meeting with a -merciful- and loving Creator. The same God who, in the flesh, could beg forgiveness for the ultimate crime: torturing and murdering the Innocent One. And, only the Lord Jesus truly knows the thoughts and intents of each heart......We can trust Jesus. I'm praying for His manifest Presence during this time. We just got word that my Father-in-law had a heart attack and passed away. PLEASE I am begging you to pray for this family. He was not saved, and my husband is distraught over this, beyond words. Praying for little Zech this morning, and healing and peace. Aren't you thankful to be a full time stay at home Mommy during these bugs? I wanted to ask you to be in prayer. Thank you, dear ones. He seems more himself now. I think we are going to separate the boys tonight. I think they've been having fun past bedtime.

Once again not sure where to post but thought that this would be a good place as it iseems to get alot off traffic I have been having some health problems and (as some fromWellTellME might know) I have a very morbid fear of doctors and hospitals.Well DH finally "sent " me to the doctors for a diagnosis .At first they thought I had Chron's disease ( a bowel disorder) but yesterday we found out that I have a 15cm tumor on my colon that more than likely is cancerous .We are still waiting on the biopsy and blood test results. So please please pray everyone .Not only for myself but for my family I am only 26 and dh and I have six children ,my two stepdaughters 12 and 11 ,and then ds7,dd4,dd18m0,and dd6m0.We all need the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ. So we are beeging you to keep us in our prayers.I am praying not only for healing but that Christ would use my life during this time as a testimony to Him.

Thanks everyone for your prayers.Couldnt get my scheduled CT scan today as planned because of allergies to iodine they put in the IV .Will go tomorrow morning for the CT scan and then tomorrow afternoon to the doctor then on the 5th to UVA medical center for app.to set up surgery with a specialist . Please continue to keep us all in your prayers ,especially hubby and babies.I have started explaining a little bit to the children as they are wondering why mommy has had to be at the doctors so much. Will keep everyone updated and once again thank you all so much for praying .It means so much to me and is truly helpful in reminding me to rest on the Lord during this time in our life. In Christ, Valerie

Yes ,all the glory goes to the Lord ! We are so thankful to Him ! I do ask that you keep all of us in your prayers still as the surgery will be soon and my wonderful Mr. Command man will have to learn how to be a Mr.Mom for awhile as I will literally not be allowed on my feet for several weeks .Im worried how hard it will be on him as he already has alot on his shoulders. After all the four year old can do the dishes as long as you give her awhile and someone is ready and waiting to mop the floor after she is done ! Please also pray that God will keep up my physical strength as much as possible during recovery as the doctors have told me I will probably lose about 40-50 lbs during that period as a side effect of the surgery. Thanks to everyone for your love and prayers !

Just wanted to once again ask for as much prayer as I can get.I go to UVA on the 23rd of february for radical colon surgery.I realy need alot of prayer as I am so afraid of being put under for open surgery ,or any other reason for that matter.I will be in the hospital for at elast a week after the surgery so we are praying that God will provide peace and comfort not only to me but to my family at this time. Our children have never spent the night anywhere other than the occasional trip to my very godly parents house so I am very nervous as to how they will cope being away from mommy for so long and also being away from daddy fro the first few days after the surgery, especially baby who is six months oldand will have to be temporarily weaned for about three weeks following the surgery. Also asking for prayer as the surgeon will send the tumor for a final total core biopsy after the surgery and it is only then that we will know for sure that I dont have cancer.I really need the peace of God that passes all understanding.

Your surgery is taking place on my daughters birthday so that will make it easier for me to remember the day.
I think I can understand how you must be feeling. Last April I had to have the old fashion type pf hysterectomy where they cut a big hole in my abdomin. My husband could not miss much more work because he just had surgery and had been off work. and my mom just had surgery so her taking care of my kids was hard and my family was to busy or did not want to help. It can be very stressful. But I left it all in Gods hands. God fixed everything and made it all work out for me just as I know He will do for you. Its not easy to trust in God sometimes but its worth it.

I would like to ask prayer for my husband. He had a job interview today that went well. He's been praying for wisdom in leaving his current job, due to family issues in regards to working with his dad. He's been with the present company seven years now and is a bit worried about starting over somewhere else. This interview today, however, offered a great start in a broader field. He is hopeful and would covet your prayers for God's will. He should find out Thursday if they are interested. I would love to see my husband be able to "leave his father" and I know he would be so much happier. He's had to put up with a lot, but has remained faithful to his work and providing for us. Thank you for your prayers

HERBALMAMA- I been thinking about and praying for you extra much this week because of your surgery this Friday. How are you doing? Are things working out good like do you have childcare and anyone to help your hubby while you are laid up? I shall being praying for you this Friday. Friday is my oldest childs Birthday and the next day is my youngest childs brithday so both days will help me remember to pray for you this weekend.
CAROLINAGIRL- How are things going for you? Has your hubby been able to find a job? How are things with his father? Remembering you all in prayer also.

I recommend that anyone who has cancer read "A World Without Cancer" I believe that is the title, and you can get it through Dr. Kent Hovind ministries. I believe their website it www.drdino.com I will have to check or maybe someone else knows for sure. I hope this information has helped someone. I know if I had cancer I would do what the book says. NV P.S. I have prayed for you and family and will continue

I apologize for unanswered pm's, but I've been caring for dh over the last several days. He is much in need of prayer. He injured his back at work. The condition became steadily worse until we ended up at the hospital last night. He is now taking some very strong pain rx until we can get the results from an MRI and determine the next course of action. Please pray for my Mr. Command man who isn't used to being out of commission. This is the first time in 27+ years that he's taken a sick day off from work, so this is difficult for him on many more levels than just physical (which is searing, debilitating, radiating pain). It's been three nights without real sleep for me. I know prayers are the only thing keeping us going at this point.
Thank you! SC
